Got some cool engineering items for my level 35 dwarf warrior.
The battle chicken is great. nice and tough.
the death ray is nice. i did 1475 damage to a cow in southshore while taking around 800 damage myself. it usually does about 700-800 damage. i heard it can critical up to 3000 damage (but that would probably kill me).
I also got the mind control cap but havent used it yet.
With the battle chicken, deathray and a hi-explosive i was able to take on Mor'ladine (35 elite skeleton guy at Raven Hill). He attacks fast and does like 60 a hit (which is a lot if you're level 35). I tried taking on Morbart fel without the special anti-fel item and almost killed him.

I've been having the same problem with the Battle Grounds. Is this normal? Is everybody else having the same problem?

It depends on which BG you are trying to enter, what times you are trying to enter, and what level bracket. I'm assuming already you are Alliance, because Alliance on my server automatically has at least a one hour wait. Some level brackets never really seem to have people playing.

To get into AB on Cenarius during peak hours, you're looking at about a 1-2 hour wait for the level 60 bracket. If your wait time is unavailable it means that there hasn't been any running, and thus no data to estimate a wait time.

I think i'm going to start a horde alt just so i can play battlegrounds more. Ive had so many alts, though, that the first 20 levels are getting painful to do over and over.
the first 8 or 10 arent bad but 12-20 seems to take forever.

I have the same problem and its even worse lately. I have no desire to reach end game. I keep leveling new alts just to delete them or abandon them. My highest alts are 43 and 42 nad I havent played them in a while. I guess I just cant find a class I want to play over and over for end game. My other problem is WoW's thoughts on class roles don't match mine which leads to problems for me. I don't know I hope to stick with the game especially since there isn't anything out there for me to replace it currently. Lately all I do is log my bank alt and play the AH market.

After about 16 days of playtime, I have finally reached lvl 60 with my priest. Yesterday was actually a good day for me, reach lvl 60, bought epic mount, won Devout robe from 2 other priests after being summoned in to help with Drakk, got Dreadmist leggings since no warlock in group and bought the dreadmist gloves.

If I copy my char to the test server, will I still be able to play my char on my original realm?

I got to level 11 with my Orc Rogue so far. Are there any good rogue guides out there? Any specific rogue quests? I was debating on making a solo run through WC or SFK with my 44 Tauren Hunter and getting some gear for my rogue, not sure if I could find anything worthwhile that wasn't BOP.

Just logged on to find a serious bug. I can't see what I type. Well I can, but not afterwards. For example, I type lol or /lol and I laugh, but the "you laugh" or "you laugh at ______" doesn't show up. I can say stuff like "Hail, friend" or "Hi there" and see the bubble appear with the text, but it doesn't appear in the channel. Neither does skills improving, gaining items, or any chat from other players from other channels. I tried rebooting several times to no avail.

This maybe a dumb question but its one that IT will ask you probably right off the bat. Is your chat window set to combat log?

-edit- disregard my retarded question. Just saw Hardcore's post and looks like other people are having the same problem.

I've heard of a bunch of guildies having this bug. I'm not sure what the solution is though. I'm sure if you ask a GM they will tell you to turn off all your UI mods, which is probable worth a shot to try and isolate the bug.

As for the test server, yes, if you copy your character there, you can still play in your regular realm.

From the WoW forums:

Try to reset your chat log settings. Make sure your game is completely off before you try this:

Right-click on your World of Warcraft shortcut and go to Properties. Click on a button called "Find Target". Go to your WTF folder, then Accounts. Double-click on your account's name. Delete a folder named after the character affected.

Once this is done, try the game again.
So yeah, what DaveNinja said...

Actually what worked for me was going and deleting the chat.text (or whatever it was called) file. The game rebuilt a new one upon login and all was well.

Yea, I had the same issue this morning when I tried to play, and deleting the chat.txt file fixed the problem for me.

Weird that so many people had this problem today.

Same for me. I don't get bored for a long while, because the different classes play differently--it's the same quests mostly, but how I do them (and when I can do them) is different. I have one of each Alliance class 20 or higher, and it is around mid-40s before I start getting bored. I had no trouble getting my first character to 60 (even though it was a Paladin), my second one (a warrior) was pretty hard (the good thing is: Rest XP all the way up from that point due to all the breaks). My Rogue is stuck at 48.

I'm doing Hunter now. It's pretty cool, at 36 (just turned 37 last night) I was doing Red Quest 5 levels above me without much difficulty. Of course that means I'll just run out sooner I guess, but I'm having a lot of fun with it so far.

The level 60 game for me is not very interesting, what with doing the same stuff over and over, conflicts over drops, etc. At least not with the classes I have so far.

I guess it depends on what you do at 60. If you fall into the raiding pattern of taking as many people as possible into an instance over and over until you get your set items, yeah, that's pretty boring. But once you realize that the set gear isn't that great, and find a decent group of people to 5-man with regularly, you can keep yourself busy just trying to finish all the quests for the upper instances. In 5-man, everyone usually walks away with something, and there's very rarely conflicts for loot, especially if you have your regular teammates.

Actually, I've mostly done 5 mans, and I usually get something or a few somethings. I haven't personally had an issue over loot, the arguing over loot is mostly something I witness from afar. It's still not interesting to me more than once in a while--it just takes too long. I play a lot, but I usually have interruptions of 15-30 minutes every 45 minutes or hour (because I am not a single person, and my wife does not enjoy playing computer games). For me, I haven't found the level 60 game to be very conducive to that play style--other people do, but not me.

It doesn't matter, though, I have fun playing my alts.

Canceled my account, not enough time to play to justify the cost. Might play again sometime in the future.
