Has there been any news on the white PSP here in the US? I found a good mod for the d-pad that seems to be VERY successful and might be ready to dive in if I've get some Christmas gift certificates. Maybe I should still hold off on it since most of the games I want are imports.. it'll just drain my wallet even more!

I've been playing the PSP version and I've been enjoying it very much. I can't really tell you how it compares to the other console versions ( except I read the DS version is very buggy, so don't get that one). LSW2 looks and sounds great on the PSP, if you're looking for portability you can't go wrong with the PSP version

I picked up Loco Roco last week, and it's a huge hit in my household. Excellent controls and just plain fun gameplay. Definitely for fans of games like Katamari or other quirky silly games. I was big time sick of playing yet another PS2 port.

Side note...with firmware 2.80 you can have a VIDEO folder now, correct? Do you still have to name it according to PSP standards? The 8-digit, means nothing filename? Also, what do you have to encode a movie as so it will work? I tried something with DVDFab Platinum, and it did not work.
What are the BEST options for encoding a DVD to a PSP? (Screen Size, Audio, etc)

I don't use a protector for the LCD screen, but I can recommend the Logitech Playgear Pocket whole-heartedly. I've had my PSP since launch and it's absolutely the best accessory I have for it. It's a hard case that really protects the PSP nicely.
Here's a link.

I don't use one but, the screen protector you want is the Hori brand.
The other item I highly recommend is the logitech playgear case. Its the best hard case available IMO.
