I'm not much of an online shopper so...
But I thought I saw Commandos 2 for the PS2 a long time ago. I have Commandos for the PC and love it. So everytime I'm at BB or Circuit City I look to see if they have it. I have yet to fine it. Of course, for all I know it could really suck.

Rez is a pretty tough one to find (I think they're re-releasing it tho). I think there are a few OOP and HTF PS2 games now...(Giatroo Man, Klonoa 2, etc).

I've seen it a couple of times at the local Hollywood Video/Game Craze...

The one that took me the longest to find was Vampire Nights.

The ones I haven't found yet are the Naval Ops/Naval Commander (???) series

Klonoa 2 is pretty scarce, which is a shame because it's a great game.

Indeed.

Also, RAD is pretty good if not rare.

It is really some of the PS1 games that bring in top dollar.

Valkyrie Profile, Suikoden I or II, Intelligent Cube, etc

As far as PS2,
Marvel vs Cap 2 is worth some, ditto for Suikoden III

I completely could not get into Suikoden III and just sold my copy on eBay. But I really loved I and haven't yet played II (tho I own it, thankfully, as it brings some mad $ on eBay).

Intelligent Qube... man, I haven't thought about that in years. Great game... I miss that. Used to have it on the PS1. I probably sold it for far less than what it's worth.

If you like rhythm games, yes. It's a bunch of fun, though hard.

I've been trying forever to get some decent money for my Japanese edition of Symphony of the Night with the cool art book. I have had people tell me it is a bit of a collectors item but have never found anyone interested. That is what is strange about some of the rare games - they might be listed for $$ but hardly have any interested buyers.

Marvel vs. Capcom can go for as high as $60 on eBay, a lot more for a used copy.

The original Disgea is pretty hard to find.

Although it isn't a true PS2 game I thought I should add Final Fantasy VII to the list. I am not sure what is driving demand but prices for this are pretty crazy on EBay, especialy for a game that sold as many copies as it did. Even the local indie store says they can't keep PS1 memory cards in stock due to the increased demand for this game.

Which is kind of funny considering (in my opinion) the dreamcast version was better.

Atlus was (or is?) selling copies of these on their website for $54. Price included a Shin Megami Nocturn Soundtrack. (now nocturn is a pretty rare game)

Disgaea is rare again? How many times do they have to print that damn game?

I wish they'd just continue to print it, each time it seems like they actually make about ten copies all of which find their way to ebay for no less than $80 sealed.

When it first came out, I bought Frequency. After a while, I lent it to my friend and he lost it on me. I had a lot of trouble finding a copy, as I kept my eye out for the last couple of years until I finally found two used copies and several new copies within the same week. I picked up a new copy for $10, and took the used copy back, I think. I might still have it, though...heh. I was able to order a new copy of Amplitude from a local game store, though.

I got a copy of Rez when it came out, but I haven't played it much. I've always preferred Frequency, and I was never good at Rez. I'll have to try it again though.

As for Klonoa 2 - my friend bought it, but he's since lost it (he's the same friend that lost my game. He never used to take good care of things. He goes by Tarantinoholic on here, heh.) I borrowed it from him, beat it, and loved it. It's a great game, and I had a lot of fun playing it. It's definitely a hidden gem.
