It will be huge with the PS3, I think you can stream video off the PS3 with it. Here's some good news, six metal slug games on one UMD coming this fall:

Loco Roco
Just thought I'd say a little bit about this lovely game.
At the GDC this year Sony allowed those with their PSPs in hand to temporarily download one of three demos... The only one I was interested in was Loco Roco. It was great to be able to download it, but the drag was that once you power down its gone. However, much to my delight you could leave it in stand by without losing the demo. Which I took full advantage of.
I was excited for this game before playing the demo and I'm even more so now. I think I played through this lovely one level demo about ten times, and thats very unlike me.
Very simple mechanics. You can rotate the screen left and right with the shoulder buttons. Your character is a blob that simply slides around in the direction that you tilt the screen. You can also hold down both buttons and let go to 'pop' the screen, resulting in the character jumping. The only other control you have is pressing a button that causes lightning to strike, which splits your blob up into many individual blobs, allowing you to get through very tight areas. You can also hold that same button down to have the blob reform.
Its a very simple game, mostly linear with an emphasis on collecting and figuring out how to collect all the flowers. Each flower increases your blob in size, and adds another mini blob when he breaks down into smaller versions of himself.
Its all done in an incredibly charming way. Cute music, beautiful and unique graphic style. Your blob morphs, slips and slides very organically. This game should appeal to just about anyone, and its one of the very few games for the PSP that I'm really looking forward to.

Me & My Katamari
I browsed through the last few pages of this post briefly and I didn't see any mention of this game. It was released last week, but I had a lot of trouble finding it. Best Buy and Circuit City weren't even carrying it. I found it in stock at Gamestop, but ended up buying it at a Toys R Us that was closer to me.
So far I love it. It's one of those games that is perfect for wasting a few minutes. All of the levels are timed. Some take as long as 12 minutes or so, but most are 5 to 6 minutes in length. For those not familiar with the Katamari games, the basic premise is you're this little thing ("thing" really is the best description since the game has a highly Japanese influence) that pushes a ball around various settings. Each of the settings has numerous items strewn about. The goal is to increase the size of your ball by rolling over the items and collecting them in your ball. It is a very simple idea, but man is it addictive. The ball usually starts tiny, but could grow to tremendous size. Last night, the ball I was using was so big that I actually started to collect clouds. The controls take some getting used to because you have to use the four buttons on the right as a second directional pad. Once you get over the initial learning curve, it becomes pretty intuitive. I'd highly recommend it if you like puzzle type games.
Also, I'd echo the sentiment of some of the others here...Exit is really a fun game as well. I haven't spent as much time with it as with Katamari, but I could pick it up at any time. With downloadable levels available online, I could see the game sticking around for quite some time.

I'm playing MLB 06 and the load times are really killing me. I've played Madden, Midway Arcade Treasures and other games with bad load times but I think MLB is the worst of all.
The game itself is really good.

Its a one minute load time for a game, but then you play for 45 minutes to an hour to finish the 9 inning game. That is an exceptable load time for me. There are no load times once you are in a game.

Nope eagerly waiting my outpost order.
In the mean time I picked up Daxter which has been a load of fun. Its probably the best games graphics wise I have seen thus far.
I also recently purchased Exit which was a lot of fun. The downloadble levels are very challenging, havent finished but one of them.

I think I've already read that it's fake. Cool idea, though. Can't say I'm thrilled to pay $15 to download a game I already own, though.

Definately fake. Look at the blue background with the wavy lines...the lines are in exactly the same place in both pictures.
Also, I'm pretty sure Doom 2 never came out for PS1.

Ooh I forgot to tell you guys I dumped mine on Ebay and got $350 for the Gigapack + 3 games (or 4 can't remember). Oh well, hopefully the future will hold something more useful for me, but I really did enjoy it on my holiday trip.

Finally! The news I've been waiting on since the PSP launched has come out today -- Ratchet & Clank are indeed coming to the PSP!
Here's the story.
Looks fun, but of course it's early. I hope it's true to their roots. If so, this game could be a real blast. 2007 seems like a long time from now, but I'm officially beginning the countdown.

I picked up Daxter this weekend, and am having a blast! I just played the Matrix mini-game and could litterally spend hours playing it. In fact, I may!

Update 2.7 is available. AAC files now work for audio and Flash in the browser and a few other changes. Obviously it kills the GTA hack, but I haven't found any homebrew worth even bothering with so I'm updating.

RSS is much improved. You can now add all your audio podcasts directly in the RSS reader and directly save them to your memory stick. Much easier than streaming them.
