Also, I thought I heard that the PSP version of Madden (where is it anyway) will allow you to play games from your PS2 version's season. How is this going to be implemented? Do you connect the PSP to the USB port? Upload the file somewhere?

Is anyone else having a hard time downloading the large Wipeout upgrades? I keep timing out...

This tuesday my friend.....this tuesday

Madden is the 20th? Great, I just pre-ordered it...I thought it was the 27th. Cool. I forget how the PSP-PS2 madden works, I think it'll let you transfer the save somehow for franchise....not sure how though, since PSP has Practice Squads (while the console version don't)

I don't care...I have XBOX and PSP only.

InsideGamer has a video of the full one-level demo of LocoRoco that was downloadable on the TGS floor. It looks fantastic. Must-have for any PSP owner IMHO.

Where is everyone getting this LocoRoco video, because I can't get it to work.

Also check out the world's Least Exciting PSP Game! I don't know about you, but I sure as hell bought my PSP so I could take a math quiz on the go!

Locoroco looks fantastastic, I might have to buy a PSP if the price drops because of that game. They should have used the tilt sensor for this game though, seems like it was made for it and would work perfectly.

It does look very fun and cute. Watching it made me a little seasick, though. Anyway I agree with outlaw, it would be very nice with a tilt sensor (as would Mercury). If they can include one in the GBA, this should be a piece of cake, right?

Has anyone else seen video of Every Extend Extra? Beautiful stuff - looks like a better version of Rez.

Goddamnit. Now I have to go buy a PSP. Portable gaming is just ridiculous right now.

Ok, how stable is the PSP online? I've tried playing Gretzky and now MAdden online, and I can never keep a connection. It always drops. Do I have to be like 10 feet from my wireless router? It's a bit annoying....not a BIG deal, just annoying.

Generations of Chaos is coming to the US on PSP, making it the first in the series to make it across the Pacific.

Here's hoping Suikoden I and II come to the US. It would be great to have those games with a minor graphical facelift.

I'm also hyped for Landstalker. I'm sure not many people remember this Genesis classic...but it was one of the great old-school Isometric Action RPGs. Or maybe the only one...

Well, I joined the club, gents. It really can't be said enough what a stunning piece of tech this bad boy is. The damn thing needs to charge faster so I can play some Lumines.

Congats. The PSP takes a lot of lumps in this and other forums, but it is pretty cool. You'll love Lumines; it's the game I keep coming back to.

Thanks. You know, until these last few weeks, Lumines was almost the only thing I was interested in - albeit very, very interested - and now there's been this deluge of announcements. The PSP has been at the wrong end of the DS' unbelievable, IMO, first-year lineup, particularly over the summer. Sony's got it together now, and portable gaming is the best it's ever been.

I'm hoping we get some more PS1 classics on the PSP. I would love to be able to take FF: Tactics on the go!

Has any information about Landstalker been released yet? I loved this game on the Genesis. I hope it is a remake instead of a port.

Climax has tapped into its roots for a revival of Landstalker on the PSP. This remake features true 3D visuals as well as gameplay adjustments to accompany the new possibilities associated with the change from the 2D isometric perspective of the original. Climax has also added new scenarios and side stories as well as a high difficulty setting.

They also have a cam video of the 3D environments.

I don't know if this has been posted but Fry is selling the Sandisk 1 GB ProDuo for $79.99 with $10MIR. Not as good as the Buy.com $89.99 with $30MIR, but close enough.

v2.0 has been cracked and they are working on getting homebrew working on it. Apparently there is a buffer overflow which gives you access to the hardware.

That was expected.

I don't know why Sony waste its time.

Now that I've had Lumines for a few days I can say that it somehow exceeded my (high) expectations. It should come bundled with the system. Very satisfied so far, and I still haven't picked up a big Duo to really take advantage of the everything.

Expect 2.01 in the next week.

Still, this is good news since I haven't gotten one yet and 1.5 PSPs will be a relic by the time I can justify the cost.
