Star Control 2
Wing Commander Series (WC1-5, Privateer, etc)
Doom and/or Quake multiplayer

Old school? I stopped upgrading my computer when they stopped releasing WC games that always made me. Been out of it for a long while.

Diablo
Doom 2

Really only played for a couple years during undergrad (1997-1998 or so) as my roomie was big into PC games. Pretty much strictly console gaming for me before and after that.

These are the games that had the biggest impact on me when they were originally out. That's my criteria:

1. Civilization
2. Ultima
3. Zork

Hmmm... That's a tough one...

Deepest, longest lasting impact on me? Space Invaders in both the arcade and on the 2600.

One I had the most fun playing? Tossup between Duke Nuke'm 3D and Doom

One I play most often now, and that I get friends to play? Tossup between Unreal Tournament 99, Unreal Tournament 2K4, and Tribes2

Sorry I ran over your limit.

Is something wrong with gamerankings.com or do you need a membership to look up games now?

Those two games were awesome. Man, Origin Systems sure made some amazing games back in the day.

2. Transport Tycoon (1994)
3. Empire Deluxe (1992)

As you can see I'm kinda middle old school.

Wing Commander

I would wake up early on Saturdays just to play that game. Great story, great game, great everything. My first real pc gaming experience. I loved it.
