Star Control 2
Wing Commander Series (WC1-5, Privateer, etc)
Doom and/or Quake multiplayer

Old school? I stopped upgrading my computer when they stopped releasing WC games that always made me. Been out of it for a long while.

I have lots of great memories with Star Control and the 'no regret/no remorse' titles ooh and 'command& conquer' originals as well as Master of Orion 2 but i'll admit its HARD to pick an ALL TIME favorite

medavidson 06-03-05 01:23 PM

1. Command and Conquer (and its spawn)
2. M1 Tank Platoon
3. Counter Strike (Source)

Diablo
Doom 2

Really only played for a couple years during undergrad (1997-1998 or so) as my roomie was big into PC games. Pretty much strictly console gaming for me before and after that.

mr.snowmizer 06-03-05 01:47 PM

X-Com.

Groucho 06-03-05 01:48 PM

These are the games that had the biggest impact on me when they were originally out. That's my criteria:

1. Civilization
2. Ultima
3. Zork

Trevor 06-03-05 01:50 PM

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 (or maybe 3)

AGuyNamedMike 06-03-05 01:58 PM

Hmmm... That's a tough one...

Deepest, longest lasting impact on me? Space Invaders in both the arcade and on the 2600.

One I had the most fun playing? Tossup between Duke Nuke'm 3D and Doom

One I play most often now, and that I get friends to play? Tossup between Unreal Tournament 99, Unreal Tournament 2K4, and Tribes2

Sorry I ran over your limit.

Is something wrong with gamerankings.com or do you need a membership to look up games now?

uli2000 06-03-05 02:02 PM

1. F19 stealth fighter-played it endlessly as a kid
2.Wolfenstein Enemy Territory-still fire it up once and a while
3.doom2

Eelkram 06-03-05 02:19 PM

Those two games were awesome. Man, Origin Systems sure made some amazing games back in the day.
