Have they shown the Revolution controller yet? That's what I'm really curious about.

Whats the big deal with controllers? Just give me another Wavebird. :)
It will be a REVOLUTION when I don't have to drag my NES and N64 out all the time. |
Got to admit I'm curious about the actual hardware specs as well even though I know N doesn't think they're relevant.
New GBA design doesn't do much for me either. |

But, Metroid could still be in the dark somewhere waiting for unveiling (Please let that be so!).
I'd also like another GBA Metroid, as well as a DS Metroid. Although Metroid Pinball does interest me as I love pinball games. On another pinball note, did anyone else look at Odama? I am seeing references to the GameCube Mic. I've never heard of those plans before. |
Tthe more I have thought about it today the more I doubt that this (revolution) is Nintendo's actual system. They didn't want to show anything, so who says this wasn't just a little empty box with a blue light? They historically, don't like tipping their hand before they are good and ready. They have repeatedly said for the past 3 months they weren't going to show anything and I'm betting they felt the heat from the other two companies to show something. So they mock up something simple and plain just to have a box there to represent.
I think they have something up their sleeve, and this has nothing to do with it. I mean where is the "revolution?" With all these rumors running rampant, you would think just one was somewhat close. The box is too plain for Nintendo's style as well. Too basic. It just looks like a run of the mill DVD based game system. Mark my words...I'm saying it now, that isn't the system. I bet they show something completely different at the next show whichever one that is. or maybe it is just wishful thinking. :( |

I have no problem with the design, easy to hide in an HT, which I like. As for where's the revolution? Like you said, they don't like to tip their hand, that's why they didn't reveal the controller, any games, or say what would be knew about it yet. It's way to far off to reveal much. They just showed that it will be tiny, have the backward compatibility and the downoalds, wireless etc. to get it in people's minds now. |
So are the downloadable games just going to be saved on the SD card? If that's the case, wouldn't that just be a little too easy to buy games and trade and copy them with friends?

Revolution and GBA Micro are so mine.

If they gave access to all NES games for free, I would strongly consider picking one up just for that. Otherwise, there is no way I'm paying money to play games I already own.

The new pics on the japanese homepage show that you can connect your Gamecube controllers to this system by a flip up panel (thus you'd be able to use the drum controller on this as well with the backwards compatible(ness) of the system.).

The coolness factor just keeps on rising. |
If all that is true, it just reaffirms my choice of purchasing the Revolution
|
Nice to see Donkey Konga and Mario Party 6 will live on.
Man, its going to be a long wait for this console. |
9:24 am: For Revolution, "Miyamoto is challenging his teams to create something new." His new creation will debut with Revolution. Big franchises will of course be there -- including new versions of Mario and Zelda. Short (pre-rendered) Metroid Prime 3 clip showing Samus standing in front of her redesigned spaceship. "We expect strong third-party support in both hemispheres." For example, Square Enix is already working on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for Revolution. |
I don't know.....I will most likely be buying a Revolution but it just seems like a beefed up Gamecube.

It is the same resolution and brighter though. |

It is the same resolution and brighter though. Sometimes, you just wonder what drives companies to do what they do. |
With everybody still buying new versions of Gameboys how can you blame them? Milk the market while you can.
