That way you knew the strenghts and weaknesses of all those we were playing with which in turn gives us a much better chance to win the games that we do play.

I didn't? I was on like 5 days a week for 2 months solid...then work got a bit hectic the past 4 weeks. I come back and there's been this dvd clan armageddon...

Another thing I need to address is people, and I'm not naming here (it wasn't tj...) telling me I need to practice. Well, in short, eat me. I have fun playing FPS games, although I don't seem to be all that great. whooptie do. I'll slam anyone in soccer, hockey, or baseball games. I certainly don't go around telling people they need to practice if they want to play with me...that's a bunch of shit.

not at all, i'm really not into making this a war or anything, but i'd really like it if you guys still wanted to play with us even in matchmaking games. and doing clan vs clan for pratice would be cool too.

i've haven't been trying to make a war of the clans here, and if that is the way things are turning out i'm sorry i didn't mean for that to happen.

but yeah matches would be cool with me you'll have to see what all the other members think though i can't speak for them.

Sat Night 2-26-2005

I will be on around 11:30PM-12:00AM EST and MARTIN5 will be on also. So if you guys aren't doing anything please get on so we can do some games, we still have yet to make our first clan match as everyone has had different things going on.

also for the guys i've made staff if you could place that in your singature so the other memebers know who to ask questions to that would be kick ass!

K&AJones 02-26-05 04:20 PM

Sorry if I offended anyone with the word "Practice". It was by no means refering to any certain individual or persons or questioning their skills. In fact I'm more than willing to listen to what they have to say and suggest. It was more directed to players like myself that needs some "fine tuning" in not only single but team play as well. There were plenty of times I played and I felt I wasn't on the same page as everyone else. It was like some asking, "what the hell is Buzz doing?" and I'm asking, "what the hell do I need to do?".

I just know that I'll stick with Bean and Martin no matter what. They've stuck with me despite my lack-luster skills to which I say thanks. As to the members of "Let Us Win" I hope i can still get in a game here and there without being much of a pain-in-the-a##.

BeanDip0001 02-26-05 04:33 PM

i don't think he was talking about you buzz

K&AJones 02-27-05 11:15 AM

Well last night was interesting with all but the "Three Amigo's" Bean, Martin and myself. I picked up on a few things but it would've been better if one or two more could've joined in to try some things for the heck of it. Think Bean and Martin said they'll be on and I'll give it a go since there's a few other parts I need to work on.

We were just shooting talk and we noticed in friends list someone was playine "The Punisher". Nice to hear what they think of it. I mentioned I've been playing the new "Unreal Championship 2" demo and found it quite impressive. I know this is listed as a "Halo" clan but this game with team play may offer an occasional break from Halo just to liven things up. I mean the "Unreal" and "Quake" series were the major forerunners of the FPS's we see today. Below is a tibit of info and a link to the offical site.

http://www.unrealchampionship2.com

*** (14) playable characters from five differnt races
*** For the first time in Unreal there's "melee" style combat system
*** 1st and 3rd person view
*** Up to (8) players online or system link
*** Built for XBox and not ported to pc
*** (40) -yea that's right - maps and levels!
*** Yes there's bots involved and if like the demo they're tough!
*** Yes there's "mods" involved too!

I played allot of the Unreal Tournament on the pc and this is nothing like it combat wise. One minute you're shooting and the next hand-to-hand. If interested the "March XBL" issue has the demo and from what I've heard maybe EB Stores. Just my take but a worth a serious look from action, team and FPS players alike.

Sorry guys, I was trying to get on last night, but I couldn't connect to Xbox Live. I kept getting an error message and the Xbox wanted to start the troubleshooter. I'll see if I can fix it to get online tonight.

BeanDip0001 02-27-05 12:11 PM

damn xbox live, its about as reliable as windows. microsoft should have just named it only works half the time but you pay for all the time service.

anyhow we had our first minor clan match last night, and then we put buzz through boot camp at fort BeanMartin. i should be on tonight around 9 or 10 EST, but if i'm not i'll catch up with everyone this next week.

K&A...it wasn't you either. In fact, I don't think I've played but one or two games with you online...it's cool

DVDChris 02-27-05 11:09 PM

Good games Beandip and Buzz. Sorry to leave you guys with the two kids, but I was starving and had to eat something.

what time of night are you talking about? early or late or like 7 to 10 etc?

DVDChris 02-28-05 09:47 AM

Yeah I'm on the west coast.

RVP 02-28-05 10:58 AM

Yeah I was playing the Punisher last night. I rented it from BB. It is alright, kind of fun, sort of repetitive. Worth a rental at least.
Did you guys try to message me while I was playing the Punisher? Will that work? I don't really know how the "live aware" games work.

Hey guys, just wanted to make a couple of comments (sorry, I've been out of town for a week).

One, I think the main reason the other clan was formed was to have members who played a lot more than some people have time for. Like 3 or more times a week. That just naturally leads to playing with the same people more often and improving your strategies. It wasn't because of anyone's abilities being sub-par or anything like that. Lord knows I, on occasion, can suck beyond the telling at this game.

Second, I want to personally apologize for not creating a new overlord before leaving the clan. That was thoughtless and unintentional. Didn't mean for it to happen that way, and as soon as I joined the new clan I realized my mistake. So, sorry for that. My total bad.

Lastly, I enjoyed playing with everyone in the DVDTalk clan and sent out as many friend invites as I could think of when I switched over. I think all of us still want to play with the "DVDTalk" gang on Big Team Battles and stuff like that, we just wanted a more "active" group for clan matches.

Anyway, sorry for the bad feelings, and if anyone wants to send me a friend invite, I'll be more than willing to accept. Hope to see you guys online in the future.

i understand that jedi, but every time i was on it aways eneded up big team battle, that's why i stopped being on every night i didn't think you guys wanted to play clan matches anymore. everyone knows martin5 and i were regulars too, and most if not all of you who left were who i was used to playing games with. anyhow there's no hard feelings on my part, but this whole thing has been a pain in the ass to try to get people to switch over. i'm not sure if everyone who played every once in awhile knows what happened. anyhow send me a friend invite our games are always open to any of you guys.

DamingR 02-28-05 01:48 PM

Guys, I am really sorry that this was handled so poorly on our part. I appreciate Beandip's mature attitude in handling the aftermath.

I would like to address Ronin's comments regarding the practice comment.

Because so many people were confused as to why the group split off and were asking if they could join our clan, we decided to make some basic guidelines to be a clan member. Basically, we would like all of our members to be a level 9 or better in either team slayer or rumble pit and play a minimum of 2 nights a week, with three nights a week being preferred.

It's really just about having people in the clan who have a good idea of what's going on and can hold their own against average players in 1 on 1 confrontations.

If you don't want to practice, fine. We really don't care. That being said, there is no reason for you to be in our clan. Just add us all to your friends list and send us an invite when you're online. If we're just messing around playing custom games, we'll send you an invite. If we're playing "seriously," then we probably won't.

We have played games with several people who aren't in the clan, including Ronin. So, feel free to shoot us an invite, and if we're tired of matchmaking, we will be playing the same old custom games, where everyone is welcome.

That's very cool and I totally agree, even though we are not a single clan anymore there should still be some unity between us all, call it what you want affiliate clans or something. I think I have most of the "Let Us Win" clan on my friends list but many here may not, so if one of you guys could post all your active members that would be "dope". :D

I hate all of you west coast bastards with your warm weather and "pretty" girls. -ohbfrank-
of course I'm kidding, but it looks like we will only be playing together on the occasional Friday or Saturday.
