I'm such a wuss. I've already burned through three rocket launchers. I get so sick of dying over and over again I'd rather just blow 30000 and be done with it. At one spot I just passed in area 4-1 it actually was a pretty wise strategy, though, when

SPOILERS below for those that haven't beaten the game yet....
Anyone manage to get 5 star rankings for all of the characters on Mercenaries yet? Im curious as to what you unlock. I have about half of the 5 star ratings. Some of the usable characters are awesome. Theres nothing like Hunk using 2 handgun bullets to stun a chainsaw wench and then breaking their neck for an instant kill.

Any ideas if there are rifle bullets nearby or any tips for doing this part with another gun?

This game keeps getting better, they put a lot of variety into it to keep it from just being constant shooting. I really enjoyed the part where they are assaulting you from all sides in the cabin. Also did anybody else go through both paths, when you have the choice to go left or right? I did just to fight another el gigante.
For those who have beaten the game, list the amount of times you died. I am going to nominate myself for most deaths, I got nailed by the chainsaw guy so many times.

Do you get a grade or something when you finish the game? I figure that's why they keep track of deaths and saves. Anyone know if there are any bonuses for finishing the game faster/less deaths/less saves/etc.

Some of the little touches in this game just go to show how much work went in. When you are on the gondola shooting off villagers, Ashley gives a little cheer (with her arm) each time you shoot one off.
Need a little info on the shooting gallery minigame. Do you have to use each weapon (sniping, rapid fire) to get all the bottlecaps, or can you just choose one? I am still not sure how the rewards/bottle caps work, I have two so far, but am confused how to get more.

You get money for finishing a row, but that's it. Otherwise it's just a fun collectible to look at with funky sound.

Once you hit six for that game type there's really no point to play that game type again unless you want to practice. Just wait until the nextr game type opens up. You can see where that'll be by the blue dots on the map labeled submission.

Got some great money not to far after that, when you see the group in a circle worshiping some shrine, you are above them

If you're not worried about ammo, you can take out animals for extra stuff, too. At one spot there was about a dozen crows just sitting on the ground. Each one has about 200-300 pesetas (plus potenitally other items), so it can add up if you use the shotgun and can nail them all at once. Also, the fish can be used as recovery items (or sold). The large bass restores full health, but he takes up quite a few item spots, so you may only want to go after him if you want to immediately restore health.

Anyone shot the merchant by accident? I did that right before the boss battle on 4-4. Thought he was one of the priests at the top of the stairs and killed him. I'm on 5-1 now and really going to try and finish it up this week. I just haven't had a lot of time to play it.

Of course, as many others have, I've also killed my fair share of crows, chickens, and the best of all, slashed a cow to death. Oh, and Ashley too. In the end, if I can kill it, then you're damn right I will.

Sorry that I don't really have anything new/useful to say here, but I was shocked that nobody had posted in this thread for >24 hours. I just didn't want the conversation to die down! Since the week the game was coming out I've been looking on here for more tidbits about it, and none today! Maybe everyone is busy playing it? Or (worst case scenario) that you guys had "real jobs" that make you work all week long so that you can't play/post your comments.... Either way, I'm loving this game more and more the further that I get into it and I hope that everyone is doing the same....

Well, I've now beaten it twice and have consumed every bit of information I can. But at some point I'll give the professional mode a try with my beefed up weapons.
Assignment Ada was fun though, and gives a little more inidcation (well, clarifies) some of the story and where it's obviously headed in future games though. Plus it gives you the kick ass Chicago Typewriter, what a great gun. Granted, the game is easier than hell with this weapon, but it's great to go back through the game and just blast your way through. Though, second time through only took me like 8 hours, and I wasn't really rushing. Ashley's second costume offers more cleavage though, which was amusing for a few seconds.
Sadly, I've no more Resident Evil to play. Hopefully part 5 comes along a little faster than this one did. They don't have to reinvent the wheel this time so, I can imagine it won't.

Finished it as well, what an awesome game this was! I enjoyed every second of it. The mercenaries mini-game is the best, Krauser kicks supreme a$$! The Assignment Ada mission was cool as well and does add some more insight to the story. Right now im currently playing it again. I think im at chapter 4-1 right now with only like almost 5hrs clocked in.
