I originally thought that you need to get all of the tiles on the screen the same color (i.e., either all X's or all O's). But you actually need to make sure that each horizontal row is either all X's or all O's. For example, this final state counts as a solution:
XXXXX
XXXXX
XXXXX
XXXXX
OOOOO
OOOOO
OOOOO
OOOOO
Get it now?

I'm on puzzle 78 right now. So far 71 and 77 have stumped me the longest, but eventually I find my way.
If you check out Gamefaqs there are already 41 custom puzzles available that you can add to the game.

Now I get it

I didnt have a problem mixing colors (although by the demo I didnt think you could) but my problem was, I was concentrating on VERTICALS, not horizontals. I was doing this...

I'm having a ball with my DS right now! I've been playing the hell out of Polarium ever since it was released, and I bought Pac-Pix today.
Pac-Pix is fantastic! I've only played it for a little while, but this is a must have game for DS owners in my opinion. It's games like this that I bought the DS for in the first place. If you have any questions about it, just ask.

I played with Pac-Pix a little yesterday at work. The main thing is all the ghost have been trapped in the pages of a book, Pac-Man got sucked into the book too and must clear each page (level) of the book. I just played through the tutorial, and first chapter (I think it was 8 pages).
The premise is simple you have to draw Pac-man then guide him around to eat the free roaming ghost. Whichever way you draw Pac-man facing is the direction he goes, you can change his direction by drawing a wall, and he will turn the direction you drew the wall. You can stop him momentarily by touching him with the stylus, and depending on how you draw him will effect his speed larger will be slower, smaller will move faster. Each level has limits (ie. how many Pac-men you can draw, time limit, etc.) and you must complete within those limits to finish the page.
I just don't know if I could justify full price, but could see picking it up pre-owned.

Are these real screens? It just seems to be a little more than I expected the DS to be able to handle at this point. If they are real, that's pretty amazing.

Yeah, the sad thing with the DS, like all portables, they are subject to quick development. The average portable game budget is 1/25th that of a console game so they are often not worked on long.
The DS, PSP, and GBA all are capable of more for 95% of the games, developers just don't take the time to do it right because its "good enough".

Majesco has announced a slew of new DS titles.
Black & White Creatures
Bust-A-Move DS
Guilty Gear Dust Strikers
Nanostray
Texas Hold 'Em Poker DS
Golden Nugget Casino DS
A Boy and His Blob
Gotta give a big thumbs up to Bust-A-Move DS. That'll be a great puzzle game for both single player and multiplayer.
A Boy and His Blob? Well Majesco, you've got my attention. I'm dying to see what they'll do with that license.

Anyone looking forward to Pac N Roll? I read the preview on 1up and it sounds pretty interesting. Sounds like it will use the stylus in a good way and actually provide a lot of content (unlike Yoshi or Pac Pix).
Basically a platformer-esque game where you roll Pac-Man around with the stylus and have to avoid things and get a certain number of pellets to clear the level and move on to the next. The preview said there were a lot of stages.

X-Play just ran a preview of Kirby also and it sounded very promising. They of course won't rate it until it's released but they sounded very impressed by it and said the gameplay was hectic and challenging.

OMIGOD! I think I just soiled myself!

I know, I know...don't believe everything you read on the internet. But I soooo want this to be true!

A few new DS titles have appeared on the web this evening. According to Jeuxpo, Nintendo has quietly put the word out on three new games in the works for the DS: Touch! Golf, Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga 2, and Metroid Dread. The golf title is reportedly a more mature golfing sim that will not feature Mario and the gang. Superstar Saga 2 is a sequel to the GBA game of 2003 and will use the touch screen extensively. And gamers rejoice, Samus will make yet another DS appearance -- this time in glorious side-scrolling 2D. It's a good day to be a DS owner!

If any or all of those games are true it will be great, but the magazine article that was posted does not look real at all. I think everyone is getting into the make up Nintendo news game.
