I'm getting better at Donkey Kong Jr, it's just going to take me some time. I know I can get to the level on that screenshot, but I don't think I've ever gotten past that. Maybe once.
Jungle Hunt drives me nuts because it's mostly just about patience. You really feel like an idiot when you fall off the vines.

Oh that's what it is. You know, it's just as easy to hit F12 as it is to hit P. You're the only one posting those ugly ones and to make it worse they have to be bigger. You're so punk

yes it does, and I don't like it. I considered changing it to the Sega Master System version, but it's too late now. I updated the first post to note that these are the US versions of the games. I don't think Jungle Hunt is different other than the graphics for the main character, but the other versions of Donkey Kong Jr. have the levels arranged differently. I know Donkey Kong is the same way.
I think I must've been playing the Japanese one when I got to the level devilshalo's screenshot is on. I was using savestates to practice the 4th level. I finally got past it, but after seeing the 5th I don't think I'll ever get past that one, even if I were to cheat with savestates.
You can save your spot in the game with Shift-F7 and you can restore from that point with F7, but please only submit scores from games you played all the way through. It's great for practicing a tough spot though. Starting over all the time sucks

oh, I figured it out. If you go to the Tab menu, Analog controls, you can set the AD X and Y axis Autocenter speed to 0. This will take off the Autocenter function.

I almost caught up to the Jungle Hunt score, but I'm not getting anywhere near Donkey Kong Jr. You should both pick replacement games for next week. Nobody's done it ahead of time like I asked
I want to make the official deadline for posting scores midnight eastern time Sunday night/Monday morning and have the new games up at that time. So this means you bigsoos!
Pick a game in case you can't get online again this weekend.
Time to try Jungle Hunt again. I wanna write my name on that damn trophy I spent all that time photochopping!
I suck!

Well, not to get ahead of myself, but here's my choices should I be the high score. Some old school games that I hope people remember and can find the roms for.
Scramble
Star Castle
Congo Bongo

Scramble!
I could start a contest with games that run only on Scramble hardware. Once they got Scramble running in MAME they also put in all these bootleg games like Crazy Kong and versions of PacMan and Galaga that could run on a Scramble arcade machine. The colors and sound are so effed up it's comical. but the games play exactly the same.
I have the roms for those games so I can host them. I assume you put those in the order you want if you only end up with one or 2 high scores, Scramble is the first choice and Star Castle the second. I'm only missing 3 games pre 1995 from MAME, so we're covered for that. Console games might be a little tougher but feel free to name anything worth tracking down. We could even do old computer games as long as it's simple enough to get the game started and it actually has a scoring system.
