Alright, congratulations Derrich and cheapskate! Bigsoos is running late but I guess I can just give you all your trophy now

Ain't it a beaut?
If bigsoos doesn't report by this evening and nobody beats his score by then, I will pick either Space Harrier or 10 Yard Fight since he mentioned those in Desmond's thread.
So this week when you post a high score, say which game you'd want to play next if it ends up being the winning score. You can change your mind later, this will just allow us to have a real deadline.

I finally figured out what the hell I was supposed to do at the end of the level...
This is my current high score for the ultra-cool but ultra-goddam ****ing frustrating Jungle Hunt.
(Note instant death as I catch myself out of breath, and on entirely the wrong crocodile pixel)
Bring it on!!

We're going on the honor system, so no continuing! Take your screenshot from the first "Game Over" and only continue for practice.
Space Harrier is a cool game and I had it on my Sega Master System when I was 12 so I don't want to waste my chance at winning here!
If we really wanted to make this official we could make everyone use the same version of mame and record their games, but I don't want to make this too difficult.

Does the screen say "INSERT COIN"?

Very funny!
I could only get it to work with an analog joystick. It wouldn't work with my X-Arcade stick or the keyboard, but it worked fine with an Xbox controller, so I assume any gamepad with analog sticks should work. Here's my 2nd try. I got to level 3 (the 'shroom level!) without continuing. Definitely beatable.
<--See? Beat it already!
and Donkey Kong Jr.

My only hope is that it appears you got trapped in one of the air bubbles - a truly amateur mistake! I STILL HAVE A CHANCE!!

*encourages everyone else to play Space Harrier and Donkey Kong Jr.*
Roto, that trophy is fan-f***ing-tastic! Is it really yours?! I only ask because if it isn't, that's a hell of a Photochop!

I found the trophy with a google search for "golden joystick"
Here's the original "engraving"
It's so pathetic I just had to use it! I think the thick layer of dust makes it that much more awesome! I'll try to put the names on each week. It's easy as long as I'm unemployed. I think by the time I get a job I should have enough practice to do all this pretty quickly.

I'd probably do better at Jungle Hunt and DKJr if I weren't bothered by work

Space Harrier is easy as long as you can get the controls to work. It's like 3d Galaga on drugs, dodge and shoot.
