IMO I ordered 2k5, but my football game preference is EA's NCAA games.

I first played NCAA Football with the 2003 iteration and I haven't really played a NFL game since then.

I would really think about picking this up, but Sega has no NCAA and I really like playing this and then importing my players to Madden.

Anyone know anyone that will have NCAA rosters to download for the XBox? I know Maddenmania.com got a C&C from the NCAA to stop allowing downloads there.

Wait, maddenmania got a cease and desist? Why? They were just putting rosters together, right? Dangit, that's one of the things I liked about NCAA Football the most: importing rosters that other people painstakingly put together, so I wouldn't have to see generic names on my players.

If I had more buddies that played football online, I'd be all over this. I hope they do it with the Hockey! SEGA/ESPN Hockey is (just in my opinion) better than EA's.

Me too, especially since I built my own Action Replay for my XBox. If you go to MM and get the right peoples' names (there were a few that did the PS2 and only 1 or 2 that did them for the XBox)you could probably email them and get it that way. I have the guy that put together the XBox one from last year and I will email him and see if he will do it this year for another Paypal donation(well worth the $5 I payed last year).
MM could not put the rosters on their site or have people advertise in their forums, stupid ass NCAA nazis.

Well, then I guess I'll stick with my old version of NCAA, and they won't get anymore money from me (love the USC cover anyway).

espn has finally went on the record, from ign:

"June 22, 2004 - ESPN Videogames announced today what the entire world (well, except several people in Hoboken) already knew: ESPN NFL 2K5 will be available for a very low, very sweet suggested price of $19.99. The lower price is one of the first results of SEGA's partnership with Take-Two Interactive in publishing and distributing the ESPN line of sports games.

"For years, our fans and critics have been heralding our title as the ultimate football experience," said Greg Thomas, President of Visual Concepts. "We've pulled out every stop to make this the best, most feature-rich NFL title on the market. In fact, we're even offering the deepest online experience this year. Now, consumers score by getting the best game at an unbeatable price."

Look for the title to hit stores later in August. With so many tasty games coming out around then, it's a good thing indeed that we'll have the extra $30 to spend on even more software. Sometimes, the gaming life is just sweet"
