Sure. I got to the place where the doctor is and all the monsters are attacking and there is a big one tied up. I finished that area and was outside. Then I followed the stream to what I think is the ocean. It seemed like a dead end so I went back and searched all around the area and by the building and can't figure out how to go further. Hope that helps, without spoiling anything for others out there.

Read the editorial at the beginning of the issue, which explains their review policy. Their intentionally strict, and on their scale 5.0 is AVERAGE.

Thus, in their opinion, The Suffering is an above average game, or as they say in the editorial for 6.0 games, "not that bad."

Of course, it's just their opinion, and you may think it's a great game.

I'm more hesitant to pick it up now, as I'm super critical on games as well, and tend to agree with EGM's reviews more often than not.

Spoiler:
The ocean is a red herring. Backtrack to where you jumped into the river. There's a pickup truck on one side of the river, move it so that it falls into the river creating an artificial ramp up the other side.

edit: Use the jack to move the pickup.

I'm stuck once more.

How to I get the lighthouse working again? I've explored all over and just can't figure it out.

Thanks

Spoiler:
Notice how the lighthouse has no power? You need to speak to the guard outside, he should be near the guardhouse down the road a bit from the lighthouse. He'll lead you on a long roundabout path where you fight a bunch of the little fire girls (6-9 if I remember correctly). Eventually you'll end up back at the lighthouse, where the power will be back on. You'll need to go up to the top of the lighthouse and make the gears start turning.

Thanks for your help. I've killed all of them (I think) while with the guard, removed the blockers (2 I found), still no power. I'll give it another shot though. Thanks. I'll let you know if I get it.

Spoiler:
If you still have no power than you haven't reached the generator yet. Part of the route that you go through with the guard takes you to the generator. Once the generator is turned on then you both head back to the lighthouse. As you've already removed the blockers, all that's left is to turn the crank.

I see. I haven't been able to keep the guard alive. Looks like I'll somehow have to keep him alive.

yeah, its important to keep the guard alive because he knows his way around that particular area...plus he can help you get rid of the nasties that are lurking around there.

Thanks again. I finally got past it, now I'm at another crazy area. Ha ha. Oh well, I'll keep working on it.
