thats strange deadlax..i can join mid-game and have no problems whatsoever..i played for about 4 hours yesterday and only once did my mic stop working in a game, worked fine the next game though..I bought the $40 logitech headset though, not sure which one you're using, I knwo the talknet one doesn't work too well..
another thing, i'm in NY and can only play from about 8:30 to 11 or 12 eastern time...hopefully we can set something up where everyone can get on at a good time..

I would start with the Socom 2 forums over at scea.com..in fact I see that there is a thread started by a MOD regarding the headset issues some of you guys are having. You might want to go there and post your problem and hopefully you'll get an answer...

Sony's servers obviously can't handle 25,000 players. I've been trying to play for 45 minutes. I have 10 minutes of gameplay. I've been disconnected twice (one of which kicked ~250 players) and I've seen countless "too many players" messages.
Screw this, I'm going to play Ghost Recon.

For the most part, I had pretty good luck getting into games and not getting disconnected. There was however a mass boot around 10:30, where the whole universe was down.
All in all, it was pretty enjoyable. Even got to play a few rounds with Dasmooth1 and ME2 (who I accidently blew up with a grenade - Sorry about that
).

we now have 15 people, we should probably start organizing clan events. If someone else would like me to transfer leadrship i will, I am going to have a few papers to do the next few weeks and I won't be on alot. just let me know...

Yeah I play at wierd hours too (like 7am-10am) but I'll try and make any clan practices. I got kicked out of the last DVDtalk clan for not coming to enough practices because of my work schedule, and I have yet to even see anyone online from our new one but I look forward to doing so

anybody use the router in Best buys add this week, it is the wireless one for 79.99, I hate playing w/o being able to talk to people, but I don't wat to spend 130.00 on a new router...
