Annual ToysRUs 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' update

Haven't seen it mentioned here...

Somebody at Gaming-Age's forum is claiming as "definite" that from October 19 through 25, it's Gamecube games only for the 'Buy two, get one free' offer.

Then, the following week, it's PS2 and Xbox, so if you own these two systems, you can split your purchase with one Xbox and 2 PS2 games, or vice versa.

And the person passsing along this info says he has the TRU flyer for the first week in his hands, and the Nintendo offer is indeed true.

I hope so. Though I don't have any money, there are definitely 3 games I need to own. Thanks for the update.

I read about this earlier . I was hoping to mix and match PS2 and GC games. Hopefully Castlevania:LoI and Kill.Switch will be released for the PS2 before this is over. I'll pick those two up and get Jak2 free.

The last time they had this deal (a few months ago) it was on a specific list of games. Is that going to be the case this time around, or is it ALL games?

Hmm, I never thought of that I just assumed all the games. Hopefully all, everytime I have read this on msg boards they never mentioned anything about a specific list though.

Cool. I'll do the same thing I did last year. My birthday is in November, so I'll point the deal out to my mom and she can save $50 and get me 1 game for my birthday and 2 for x-mas.

Too bad this isn't mix and match. I can't think of 3 games that I want to get for one particular console.

Hopefully it will be good on pre-orders like last year. I know there's not three GC games I want during that period, and probably not 3 PS2/Xbox games, most of the games I want come out after that. Like FFX-2, Ratchet and Clank 2, LOTR: ROTK, Ninja Gaiden etc.

From: Work. Or commuting. Certainly not at home.
Assuming the PS2 time period is true, and assuming that I can get any game, and assuming these games actually come out, I'll end up with WWE Smackdown: Here Comes The Pain, SSX3, and ESPN NBA Basketball. I'd get more but I think my wife'll kill me if I try.

Actually I think that was something different. Per the title, this is an annual thing, meaning that sale a few months ago was something else. Maybe something to boost sales

I'm getting Top Spin. That game will RULE. I'll combine it with the XBOX Music Mixer and either Tony Hawk or FIFA Soccer 2k4.

I'll get Viewtiful Joe, and I don't know what two other games. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you can, from the first post... at least with PS2 & X-Box. I can hold out on Jak & Daxter 2 for two weeks, and get that with Gladius & Top Spin, methinks.

A TRU employee told my roomate a couple days ago that it is buy 1 get one. And there were no limitations. I doubt it but whatever either way its a good way to stock up on new games.

Buy 1 get one is even better . I'll call one my TRU stores today and see if I can get any info. One of the manager ladies there is real nice and is more than willing to give out lots of info.

By 1 get one would rock. I really can't afford $50 even, but I can talk myself into. If it's buy 2 and $100, I'll just give my mom and others a heads up for x-mas/ b-day gifts.

Looks like the Hinkle family is having an "imagination" Christmas...

Buy 1 get 1 free I agree is a great deal; but I just can't stand the thought of buying NEW games... damn, I'm so cheap... can I have my 10% used games discount now please?

I'll believe it when I see it. This seems a little too generous for TRU.
