Couple that with the guy above who beat it on adult in under 10 hours and there's no way I'm shelling out $40 for this.
As for replay value, from the EGM review, there are different characters, supposedly with different moves, to replay the game with after beating it, so it may be worth while. You unlock harder difficulty settings as well, but I've never had a desire to replay a game just to try a harder setting.

Alot of games this generation are under the 10 hour mark, so I'm not sure how it's a negative for one game but not another.
Zone of the Enders:2nd Runner 6ish Hours
The Mark of Kri (great game, use to be 9.99 at Best Buy, might still YMMV) I think 7ish Hours
Silent Hill 2 (can complete this in under 2 hours now,I think it was 8 or 9 first time through)
Silent Hill 3 under 6Hours
Onimusha 1 under 6 hours
Onimusha 2 around 9ish Hours
Rygar around 11Hours
Ratchet and Clank *15H50M Added to show difference between VJ
Sly Cooper *8H40M Added to show difference between VJ
Viewtiful Joe 9H48M
*R&C took me a little longer since I went bolt hunting and just explored the enviroment more than what was needed(wanted to soak as much of the game as possible).
Theses are just some of the games that are far under 10 hours completion times or slightly over it(that I have played). All great games this generation(Rygar is questionalbe after the stupid boss battles). To be fair I did buy Onimusha 2, The Mark of Kri and Sly Cooper when their prices were 9.99,9.99 and 14.99(BB coupon),rest were purchased on release day.
But again, I understand this particular game isn't for everyone.
*not singling you out Josh, I hear about completion times complaints quite a bit from other forums.*

I know it's not bad for the type of game.
I just won't pay full price for short games. Not worth the $ IMO.
For instance, I really wanted Sly Cooper last year, but wouldn't pay full price becuase it was similarly short.
Just not enough bang for your buck. It's a critical flaw of many games this generation.

I'm having a lot of fun with this game. This is the type of game that is most of today's "me too!" games lack in freshness and putting gameplay, fun, and style over everything else. I like how the slow motion/speed powers are critical to the gameplay and not an after thought, it does it 100 times better than Enter the Matrix, and the freedom in style they give you on how you can choose to blow away your enemies rocks. Not to mention that its pretty hard. I've played the demo about 20 times and when I got to the helicopter in the full game I died. I can't get past the 2nd level, the building is tough! But like Aghama said, it doesn't feel cheap at all. Capcom has redeemed itself with this game.
One of the funny things about the adult mode is that they mean it. I was laughing so hard in the second level when you go through the red light district and the all signs in the background are say stuff like "topless!" with pictures of topless girls with their nips censored out with stars
. Is it like that in the kids mode too?

This game is tough (playing Adult mode). I finally got past level 6 - probably spent about 5 hours total getting by it. Thank god you don't have to start the whole level over when you die on the 5th boss, considering it took me about 4 hours just to get that far (since you have to start over if you run out of lives during the first 4 bosses).

I just got to the shooter stage. The guys over at Capcom rock, they definitely meant it as a tribute to shooter fans and developers, it even has the robotic voices that are in Ikaruga. Total sweetness!

No, too busy with school and work right now, and I'm going to be out of town for a while.
I'll probably just get it for my Birthday. I hate renting games, too expensive, everywhere around me is $6 or so for 7 days. I'd rather just pay a couple bucks for a day or two.

Finally finished the game on Ultra V-rated (highest difficulty level). Very intense gameplay, no skulls pop up to show you if they are hitting low or high. You can die within 3 hits against most enemies it seemed, at least the bigger ones and the bosses. More enemies per stage and later level ones showing up in earlier episodes.
Unlocked
Spoiler:
Still need to get Rainbow Viewtifuls for each stage as well to unlock the last thing. Not sure I can even do it though heh.
Ultra V-rated time 5H40M
V-rated time 6H36M
Adults time 9H48M
22H4M total time not bad.
First game in a long long time that I actually finished on all the difficulty levels. Usually I just finish on normal and then shelve it,not even getting 100% completion on normal. Kids difficulty doesn't count since you can't leave kids difficulty with your powers intact.

Hey guys, i am stuck in the level after fighting Joe himself.
In that level, when you finish beating the tank and the plane, you get a key to go down the sewers, how the heck to i activate the 2 toggles. I can't seem to be able to reach them to get them both activated at the same time. Helpp!!!!!
