This game is the bee's knees. I'm only on the 2nd level, and I'm thinking of replaying the first one to get a better score. So far it's been fairly tough, but not at all cheap; whenever I get hit, it feels like I could have avoided it if I were a little better. Best $35 I've spent in a while.

Man, I'm still stuck on level 4. I've gotten almost to the end twice but these cheap electric spinner thingies drain my life. The Zoom function is so frickin' sweet. Zoom + Mach Speed + Kick=Death. Can't wait to play some more.

Make that two poor college students.

I'd buy it right now if I didn't have Rebel Strike Pre-ordered. I only have room in my budget for 1 new game each month. Guess I'll have to wait till next month and pick it up, or ask for it for my B-Day.

I'm on stage 6 and I have already had to continue 7 times through out the game heh.My 2D gaming finesse skills are lacking from lack of practice so I'm sucking.

I'm enjoying every minute of it though. Episode 6 is a doozy though, I have a feeling some people are not gonna be able to get past it on adults difficulty. It's my GOTY(which means nothing heh) right now pushing TLOZ:WW to 2nd place and SH3 to 3rd.

Finally finished episode 6

Although I used 14 continues to do it heh, and that was just on the last boss of episode 6! The rest of the stage is almost as hard and actually more frustrating. This episode will make anyone cry like a baby, possibly break a controller or two as well.

pfft, adults . No point beating on kids since your stuck on that difficulty after finishing the game. Although I'm not sure if you need to finish kids mode for the music video or just any difficulty.

Sorry Galanthas didn't mean to insult you

I actually think it's better to play kids first then go to adult after beating kids. Adult is VERY difficult and most of the mortal gamers will get really frustrated and perhaps give up on the game due to its difficulty.

It's a short game so I'm trying to prolong it with deaths and continues.

You know I bought this game and don't really like it. The bosses are hard but the rest of the guys are easy and you keep fighting the same guys over and over and the "puzzles" aren't too hard to figure out either. The story isn't very good either, not that it would matter if the game was fun.

It's bascilly mega man with zoom in, slow, and speed up. If anyone is planning to buy it I'd rent it first.

The zoom in and speed up destroy's the bad guys way too easy so the only thing in the game that's challenging are the bosses. But I've already got enough V-points so that I have got everything already. You can get through a level in less then a minute just by speed attacks. I had high hopes for this game. I think a lot of the reviews about it being so great are from side scrolling fans that just want a 2d beat em up, even if it is repeditive and easy.

Viewtiful Joe? The 2-D fighter by capcom. Heres a picture:

This is the game I'm talking about.

Maybe it's just easier for me then it is you. If I just tape down the forward arrow and the punch and speed buttons I will get to the end of the level on either kids or adults. The bosses can get hard, but once you find out the pattern then it's a breeze. But then again it could just be me.

I think your missing the whole point of the game. MAYBE YOU can get thru the game by just hitting the punch button. But with all of the different moves in the game why would you want to? I think it's just awesome to do a ton of different combo moves trying to rack up V points and doing it with flair. The game is about style and having fun. There's no way you can just hit punch and run thru the game beating levels in 1 minute. You are exagerating. But you know you could be that 0.0001% of the population that thinks the game is "easy".

Beat the game on Ultra V-rated then come back and tell us how easy it was.

I think Doctorwho must be playing the game on Kids, and had died so much in the first level (only way to really rack up a whole lot of V-Points) that he could do really well on the 2nd level. Because this game is not easy, and by the time you get to level 4 you're gonna have to put some stick-um on your hands to keep from throwing the controller at the screen.

Finally finished it, time was 9h48m suprisingly longer than the 5h35m that it took to finish Silent Hill 3. Last boss was a fun fight.

Apparently you don't know sarcasm Doc,that's okay though most trolls don't . Taping down punch, mach speed and forward would make the game easy. Unfortunately it can't be done because you can't move forward while punching.

Well for a contrary view on the game for what it's worth. I rented it this weekend & found it EXTREMELY boring. I just don't get what everyone here is going nuts raving about. The game is soooo repetitive, you fight the same guys over & over, have a very limited amount of options on how to fight them. The story is boring & flat, the character designs are very boring, & the gameplay is dull. Throw in something as simple as zoom-in & slow-mo & it seems like people are just suckers for cheap bells & whistles (which is all I fell this game is). And MOST importantly I cannot see why anyone would want to own this game. It makes for a good rental, but it's so repetitive, once you beat it why would you want to play again. And I zipped throught quite a bit of it in just one night, so it can't take too long to beat. The game is just extremely overrated IMO. I strongly recommend renting it & not buying it.

I'll definitely rent it, or wait for a deal. Your impressions of the final game, about mirror mine of the demo.

Couple that with the guy above who beat it on adult in under 10 hours and there's no way I'm shelling out $40 for this.

As for replay value, from the EGM review, there are different characters, supposedly with different moves, to replay the game with after beating it, so it may be worth while. You unlock harder difficulty settings as well, but I've never had a desire to replay a game just to try a harder setting.
