PS2. Because it's the only system I have. If this game is anything like the previous SC, I can look past the load times and worse graphics. I think I'm still gonna have a lot of fun with this one.

What's up with PS2's exclusive character? Yeah, this is a fighting game....but a weapon based fighting game and Sony's exclusive character is a non-weapon fighter from the Tekken series??? I'm sorry but that's just wrong. They should have got permission from Square-Enix and had someone like Cloud(FFVII) or Sephiroth(FFVII) be an exclusive to the PS2....that would have been cool. I don't see where the problem would have been in getting the 'ok' to do it beings Square let Namco continue on with the Xenogears series....
...and just to keep on topic here I will be picking up the XBOX version thank you.

I'm torn between GC & PS2. I want the GC version for Link but then I get to thinking about playing a fighting game using the GC controller and I want the PS2 version.

You may not care for fighters, but that doesn't make one of the best games in the genre "sucky".

This is the equivalent of somebody coming into a Half Life 2 thread and saying, sorry, sucky, no sale.

I mean I loathe games like Morrowind. But I'm not going to say Morrowing sucks. It's a great game for the genre. It's just not my cup of tea.
I only say a game sucks if it simply is a crappy game for the genre/type of gameplay (i.e. poorly designed and executed), not because I simply don't like that type of gameplay.

All three

I dont care if version A loads faster than version B or that version C has better looking resolution when played on a beta max TV or whatever. Im just glad the game is coming to all the systems I own so that I wont have to pick one and just settle for that

I will get the GC version first, but I will probably pick up the XBox version when I find a good deal on it. Honestly, I am kinda poor right now, so I may just soldier on with my Dreamcast and the original a while longer.
Oh, I am not a fighting game fan, but I love this game. Played the demo for GC and suddenly have a need to buy a fighting game for the first time, well since I picked up VF4.

The more I think about it, I think I'll get the GCN version...but not yet. I just picked up VF:Evolution and that'll keep me busy for a while (along with numerous other games I need to finish). Plus I should probably spend the money on something I really need like a nice chair.

FYI, GameSpot has their reviews up for all three platforms:
PS2 - 8.5
GC - 8.5
XBox - 8.5 ("Best")
Some quotables:
Jeremy
PS2 - 8.5
GC - 8.5
XBox - 8.5 ("Best")
Some quotables:
"The PS2 controller is best suited..."
"Or if you have a home theater system and an Xbox, then the Xbox version is the way to go, since it features 720p HDTV support and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound. The other two versions are no slouches either, though, and natively support surround sound and widescreen progressive scan displays."
"Another even more fortunate technical feature available in all three versions of the game is the option to switch from the default English language voice-over to the original Japanese."
"At any rate, the Xbox version edges out the other two in terms of overall visual quality, but you might not notice except on a high-definition TV. The Xbox version also loads a bit faster in between matches, though the loading times are easily ignored in any of the versions."
and interestingly enough, this closing comment: "It's certainly one of the most refined, most accessible, and best-looking 3D fighting games to date, and it's squarely the best game in its class for the Xbox and GameCube." (i.e., it's not as good as VF4 on the PS2)
