Awesome news but it sucks about the wait will probably have. If they are shooting for next-gen consoles we are looking at 3 years at least.

i am so po-ed right now... seems like the guy who did the translation doesn't know diddley... i'm sorry i helped spread this false hope.

i don't quite understand it but it seems like it is actually a fan letter.

maybe someone who knows japanese can translate it properly?

I translated it at babelfish and it came out quite similar. It could sound like a fan-letter, but it mentions the development so I think it is from AM2.

This may be good news... I read this in a UK games magazine... just a small blurb, but worth mentioning:

Good news for Shenmue fans?

Yu Suzuki, president of Sega-AM2, recently hosted a question and answer session on the company's website. When asked if Shenmue III was in the works, Suzuki-san revealed that he was not content with stopping at Shenmue II. Of course, this isn't a firm confirmation, but it's clear that Suzuki-san doesn't want his beloved series to die just yet. He also revealed that the fans' opinions weighed very heavily on any decisions to develop certain games.
So that's all it said.

I hope he does continue the series. All I ask is that they update the graphics engine if it comes out for XBox.

After the Sega restructuring, I think Yu Suzuki got his own company. It could be a good sign. Maybe something will show up at the Tokyo Game show?
