It looks like it's missing that part, I'm not going to think about buying it for that much, just wondered, and also, wondered if you you had to buy it, where you picked one up like that. If it's just standard jamma, you can connect it directly to the cable?
Thanks for the info.

Here's the one I'm thinking about getting. Bear in mind I already own the computer, the HotRod SE controller and a moniter.

Anything can be MAME'd. All you need is a Arcade VGA card to hook to the monitor

I do know he paid $800 total for the cabinet, with NEO board, with shipping from Cali to Texas.. so the asking price on that auction is pretty high.
But, I can say it's one of the finest cabs I've ever used.

Yeah, I remember the cabinet was $500, in that site you said he got it from, that's no longer in business. Checked out that coinopexpress, where it's 500, but it's 500-600 insurance on the item and that's for it used. Might as well pay the 1k for the brand new one here in the states. It's to much money for me though. Just was curious.
Thanks.

Here's the deal on the sound thing.. Neo Geo is a JAMMA+ board.. JAMMA standard supports mono sound, 2 controllers with 3 buttons each. So, Neo cabinets like the Candy 29 will have extra wiring on the harnass to support stereo sound and the extra 2 buttons (and the select button).
If these wires are on the harnass itself (like the Neo setup) they're used on otherwise unused spots.. so, put a standard JAMMA board into it, it'll ignore the the extra buttons. However, the sound is strange, I guess. I can't remember exactly, but you can switch the actual speaker wires to get mono games to play on it.. it's fuzzy at the moment I wish I had a better recollection of what happened, but I had Wonderboy in Mosnter Land from ebay and got a JAMMA adapter for it.. I put it into the Candy 29 and all was well except no sound. I took it to an arcade here and he explained that Neo's are stereo and to play mono games you have to switch one of the speaker wires. We tried my game on a standard JAMMA cab and it was still no sound. So either the sound never worked, or I fried it by putting it into the Neo JAMMA+.. I'm not sure.. an arcade specialty forum would probably have better answers (in fact, I'd like to have better answers myself).. but yeah..

Yes you are right. It has something to do with the ground and speaker output for those wires. you can end up frying the board or worse. Your best bet is to get the pinout diagram for both Jamma and Neo and modify it. I know its something simple like splicing a few wires from the jamma harness. Go to Neo Geo Dot Com and go to their forums. You will find more info there.

What I was told was something like crossing the wires from the speakers (not the harnass/board area).. there's like one wire you switch up there and it essentially makes the speakers act as one. Then you can put a standard (mono) JAMMA board in the harnass. I would ask for the specifics on it if that's what you plan to do, I would just find it easier to either decide on one or have 2 seperate cabinets, 1 for the Neo Geo and 1 for standard JAMMA games (almost everything else).

arcade-infinity is launching a new website, it doesn't have their inventory up or anything yet, but they're still kicking.. It's at http://www.arcadeinfinity.com without the dash now.
They are currently the guys selling all those cabs on ebay, for way more then they use to sell them for, so hopefully no price changes..
