Whew.. scratch that. I'm back on track. The solution was the first thing I tried (obvious) but I guess I didn't push the door hard enough. Eh. Stupid me. 2 more level to go. >_

Hmm.. I do know that the Ice Palace is the one most people have trouble with but I couldn't tell you exactly what to do offhand. And since I'm in the middle of another game it makes remembering it worse hehe. Seriously though, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to get thruogh espically if you've got a FAQ (which, IMO kind of defeats the purpose of a game to begin with).. The best I can tell you off the top of my head is that I know it has to do with falling down a pit somewhere and looping back up. Good luck.

I do remember, when I beat the game I was missing 2 pieces of heart, and determined not to look it up, I just went to every screen in both worlds until I ran into them. It turns out the last one I found was the FIRST one you're supposed to get, in the basement of the thieves house in the village. I was SO pissed. But got a good laugh out of it.

I swear up and down a stack of bibles that I remember finding an extra piece of heart on the SNES version. I had all the hearts and a spare piece.. I wonder if I'm just imagining things.

OH!! I think you're supposed to push a block down some pit to cover up a switch, if it won't stay down. Try that. I don't think you have the red wand yet (the one that creates blocks) so forget that idea.

Yeah, if I remember correctly, there is a room above it with some blue/orange switch blocks, and two blocks on either side of a hole in the middle. It is the bottom left block that has to be pushed into the hole, and it will hit the switch to keep the door open. I wish I could tell you how to get there, but I don't remember...

heh well i think i found a "hole" . I had to use the titans mitt (or just pick the stupid big thing up) and threw it, but im not sure if its THE hole because theres no blocks to push. However, I got farther than before (after picking up that stupid block ) but then my batteries died.

Finally found KHOLDSTARE. Though I never did ever push any block in a hole. But I died.

Don't worry.. one of those later dungeons you'll get to opush a block into a hole. I'm sure of it.

WARNING: They changed the ice palace from the SNES edition to the GBA edition. I just played through it and now you dont have to push the block in the pit to hold the button open. You do still have to loop around but this time there is a row of movable blocks and hammer moles (?) blocking your way. When you loop around you just fall past the obstacle.

I think they changed it because some people (raises hand) had a lot of trouble with the dungeoun back in 92' and went to the next dungeoun to get the treasure there (cane of somaria) to hold the block open so that you can pass. Hey, I get some points for enginuity don't I?

Actually I think it is exactly the same. The same backtracking and the same droping in the hole. Just no pushing the block over the switch.

WOO!! Just Beat Oracle of Ages. I must say, it was probably the most fun I've had with a video game in a LOOONG time. I've got my password to start Oracle of Seasons, and it may look like Oracle will surpass Link to the Pass as my favorite Zelda game.

I'm starting to think that Capcom REALLY needs to port Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons to maybe the Gamecube. I know being a GBC game they're probably overlooked by most people but I can honestly say that these 2 little gems are quickly becoming one of my favorite games ever.

Not only are they seperate games, but you can play both as part of one story. And then getting to trade stuff between the two games. I started a new game in Seasons without the password and there are a lot of subtle differences!! It's really amazing. I just wish that these games would reach more people.

There's also TONS of refrences to past Zelda games too. Lots of little things to enjoy!

Well the Zelda games are totally different than the FF games. Zelda is an adventure game while FF are role playing games. Me personally, I'll take the Zelda series over the FF series anyday!

Here is how I rank the Zelda games:

1) Ocarina of Time (N64)
2) Majora's Mask (N64)
3) A Link To The Past (SNES)
4) Oracle of Seasons/Ages (GBC)
5) Link's Awakening (GBC)
6) The Legend of Zelda (NES)
7) Zelda II: The Adventure of Link (NES)

I haven't played either of the GBC Zelda games, but when the Gameboy Player comes out in a few months, I will be playing both of them on my Gamecube. Not much need for a port in that case

Zelda games certainly aren't anything like the Final Fantasy games. They're not RPG's where you control a party and have turn based combat.

They are adventure games where you run around and explore, collect items, solve puzzles, and fight enemies. There are very few cut scenes and the games don't rely heavily on them (I think this is one of pixyboi's main complaints about the recent Fnial Fantasy games). The graphical style is closer to Mario than Final Fantasy. I haven't really played anything else that I could easily compare to Zelda, but they are all great games, some of my favorite games ever.

This post serves as a reminder how much I hate Zelda games, random block pushing to get the right one (or random bombing)... That's not a game, that's just a process of elimination of where you haven't bomb/push yet.

Well.. FF7 isn't a good game. It's not even a video game. It's a movie where you just happen to have to hit the A button once in a while to jump to the next scene.

True.. but it still wont get them out to a wider audieance. And some modern 2D graphics would totally rock the hizzie. *drool*
