Nope, no trees in the way, just me and a building. Plus I'm fairly sure it's buggy because this guy fired once way in the middle of nowhere, he was aiming at an angle of like 75 degrees and fired... about 5 seconds later, it lands on a guy standing where he was when he fired. It might just work funny, but it doesn't seem right in any case.

And yeah, it does need to arm, you corner people in tight places that fire a grenade on you and it does nothing, real killer, I learned my lesson on that one early.

anyone have surround sound working? I've an audigy and have enabled EAX in game menu but still don't have surround sound. No biggie it is free after all Just wondered if my config was wrong or if it was just like that.

edit - also, is gamespy the only server options now? I've applied patch but still no in game server action appearantly...

Well, its official, I suck.

I played assault bridge last night for an hour and a half and killed a total of....are you sitting down?....1. And I didn't even know I did it. I must have done it when I was doing supporting fire with the saw.

It got so bad that I started giving my grenades away at the beginning of the level because I never got a chance to throw them.

I guess it says something for the game when you can play for an hour and a half with only one kill and still have some fun. It was a little frustrating though.

I think I'm going to explore some of the other maps.

Yeah, I was playing on Insurgent... the teams got lopsided for skills, we were on defense winning round after round... next thing we know, we start to attack... we finished with a team score average of 19.4 The scores went from 4 to 41 ... it was a total massacre, I took a picture to laugh at it.

My score was only 18 though, I stayed behind to cover (did a bad job, got 3 KIA's, most on team).

It's a great map that one though, defense can take over assault easily, if you flank them, your score skyrockets (I got 18 kills once doing so).

What are your ingame names? I use Faineant since mine was never Emailed to me...

You can't miss me in a game, I'm the guy throwing grenades that bounce off walls and just behind you where the most of your team happens to be standing.

If I could have a bio in there, I would put a line along the lines of 'If you see him holding a grenade, run like hell towards the front and you will live'.

Yup, grenades can be tricky. I usually get caught trying to switch from gun to grenade, I get shot down while I'm in the process. It takes about 5 seconds to switch, aim and throw which is usually too long.

The upshot to this is that I get a nice 'death blossom' effect. I drop the grenade when I die and usually kill the person who killed me.

I've only done homelan servers up to now, I go where there is room. With the patch there isn't much different except that everyone excluding a few of us wants to be a sniper. I'm not even bothering to go to sniper school. What I notice though is that even though I wanted the M41A, it kept giving me the M203 or M249 since no one else wanted them. The sniper rifle didn't seem impressive, but people use it well enough I guess. I also noticed that the grenades now do a weird aurora borealis kind of effect for no real reason.

The change I love though, full auto on the M41A, it's just great but the damage sucks, I hit a guy about 5-7 judging by the blood and he lived, still much more fun though.

Finally started playing online games. I found it a little difficult to tell who's on my team. Especially when you get some idiot on my own team shooting at me

Seems the patch added nades to HQs map. Kinda sukekekeked it up.

I havent tried HQ, I detest maps with the 'plugged' gun... Tunnel, Mout Mckenna and HQ I don't ever play, it's all Pipeline, Bridge and Insurgent for now.

Adding full auto to the M41A... classic, I'm almost unstoppable on Insurgent on the main floor with it now... I can guard back door, front door, side door, garage door, 2 windows and the top pc at the same time. (Of course I suck on assaulting though)

Yeah, I don't play the MILES levels either, can't stand the beeping and I have trouble telling the teams apart.
