Man, I loved Hero's Quest. Anyone remember Baba Yaga & the house with chicken's feet? I also thought it was so cool that you could import your character to HQII.

I also remember when Police Quest switched from an all-keyboard interface to an almost (possibly completely) all-mouse interface... I hated it!

Hero's Quest ie. the Quest for Glory series was definitely awesome! Never played 2 or 5 though.

I remember when 6-7 years ago, it seemed like Sierra and LucasArts was untouchable

Now they can do no right.

I loved Sierra for the small company feel I always thought they had. Now.........they're just a big corp. I wish the Williams had never sold out

Sierra: masters of the Quest games + LSL, and they had those Papyrus games

LucasArts: X-Wing, Tie, and all the classic adventure games

And who can forget:

Trinity
Autoduel
Phantasie III
Starflight II
A Mind Forever Voyaging
Loom
Impossible Mission 2
Populous

And I'm appalled that no one mentioned Gabriel Knight.

Then you will probably be even more appalled that I have never played it.
I take it that it is good?

Also, did you really prefer Impossible Mission 2 over the first one?

IMO, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers is my favorite game of all time.

The rest of the series is also very good.

I don't even know if Impossible Mission 1 existed. I played Impossible Mission 2 in 1987 on the Commodore 64. Ah, the good old days of classic gaming....
