Survivor over on WC so no more spoilers needed. I don't understand the strategy behind voting Jerri off this early, it makes no sense. I couldn't hear the end when Colby and Keither were discussing votes in the tent (someone here was blabbering and missed it). They were disagreeing with who to vote off next... which one wanted Jerri off? Colby had the game won if he kept Jerri on and got rid of the rest of the other tribe. As someone else posted, now there is no longer a certainty of who is going to ally with who anymore which weakens everyone but the Kuchas (or are those 3 ogakor, always get them mixed up).

Colby was very hestitant and tried to talk him out of it. I'm guessing that Tina and Keith were going to do it, with or without Colby, so he went along with it too. I'm soooo glad she's gone, but as a person who wants Keith or Colby to win, I think they screwed up. Amber is a headcase now. She could go with Kucha and end Keith/Colby/Tina really quickly. Jerri was going to be the first one off after Kucha was eliminated, so they should have just waited.

From where I sit now, I would be willing to wager large amounts of money that Nick goes in the next episode, and Colby in the week after.
The week after would be either Keith or Tina (probably Keith), leaving the final 4 as Rodger, Liz, Tina, and Amber.

Those immunity challenges are increasingly more important as the game goes on. I thought Colby was in a very good position with Jerri and Amber, but Keith and Tina have been eager it to give it to Jerri. The new alliance may be Keith, Tina, Roger, and Elisabeth. I think Colby is screwed unless he can win some immunity challenges. I do believe Tina, Roger, and Elisabeth are tight now so I think they are in control of things now.

Elizabeth is still on, I will continue watching.
Man oh man though, me and my crew were throwing up high fives and laughing up a storm when she got the boot!!!!
And man was she just so wrong about how everyone saw her.

Maybe I'm at a lost since I did not see the first season...
but am I the only one that thinks Roger has the best chance of winning the whole thing. I don't know how it works once they get to the last few survivors but I can't see this guy getting voted out. Since Alicia everyone always says they are voting people out b/c of being physical threats or strong willed(i.e. Jeri, Colby, Elizabeth) but Roger does not pose a physical threat, everyone likes him, & if it comes dwon to a jury picking the winner, who would vote against him. I may be missing part of the strategy, but he is my pick to win the whole thing. However onve Eilizeth is off I'll probably stop watching.

That was the worst strategy ever conceived last night. If I am going for the million, the person I most want to be in the final 2 with me is...JERRI! Why? Because there is no way she would win the vote of 4 of the 7 "jurors," no matter who she is going against. You odds of winning the million actually increase the longer Jerri is around.
Now Keith, Tina, and Colby risk alienating Amber, who was close with Jerri. You know that the 3 remaining Kuchas will try to convince Amber to join them, and if I were Amber, I would join them because as far as a final 4 and immunity challenges go, I would rather compete against Elisabeth, Nick, and Rodger than Keith, Tina, and Colby. I don't buy the theory that Elisabeth will be grateful for being spared. The motivation was to get rid of the troublemaker Jerri, not to spare Elisabeth.
The Ogakors were assured of being part of the final 5, and they just messed everything up. Of course, it makes next week and what happens with Amber very interesting. She is shy but she is my favorite, so it will be good to see her in the spotlight.

next up I believe may very well be Amber and boy she probably sees it coming. She now knows the others have left her out of something. SHe has to see the huge target on her back.
I actually think Roger won't win. People know he is too likeable and the game gets dirty now. Overall though this group is more likeable I think than the last at this point.
Colby probably hesitated (initially) on voting Jerri out because he knows he has votes against him from that first barramundi tribal council. He is in a precarious position because I am sure he knows the rest consider him a serious contender.
LET THE REAL GAMES CONTINUE (they started with the elimination of the WITCH this week)

I can't see Amber getting voted off because if she did, that brings it back to 3-3 from the original tribes. I see Amber in the catbird seat next week - she will be the swing vote.

Red Dog,
I agree with your comments about it being poor strategy voting her off. But I really think they couldn't stand her, hence the votes. No strategy involved, they just wanted her out of there lives.

I think for a better chance at winning a million I could have survived another 2 weeks with her. I think Colby probably felt this way but knew that if Keith and Tina were definitely doing it (and the 3 Kuchas would no doubt go against Jerri), he had little choice. The funny thing is that I think Colby is the most vulnerable next week if Amber jumps over to the Kuchas.

I think Nick is the next to go unless he wins immunity. The way the show is shot, he does not have any kind of relationship with anyone there at all. So I think he is next.

I look at it this way : We all hated her guts, and we only had to watch her for portions of 8 hours of TV, minus commercials. Imagine what it would be like to be with her 24/7 for 27 days. Yuck.
I knew she was gone the moment that they started to show people from Ogakor explaining why they would be voting for Elizabeth. They never tip their hats that much in the editing unless they're going to throw you for a loop. You just know that mark Burnett was off camera somewhere jumping up and down for joy when that vote happened -- for the first time since the tribes merged (in either season), the results were unexpected and the future is unpredictable.

That sounds logical, but the last time someone tried a strategy like that was Kelly, who ousted first Sue, then Rudy to keep Richard around; and look what happened.

I agree that there were Rich and Jerri parallels, but Jerri seemed to be much more hated than Rich. I mean the homophobe Rudy liked Rich - that says a lot. (Not to mention Kelly lost because Rich was closer to Greg's number than she was.) Match Jerri up one-on-one with anyone remaining - can you conceivably see her getting 4 jury votes? I would see her getting 1 or 2 at the most. Plus why mess with things if you know that you are most certainly going to be one of the final 5.
I agree that Mark Burnett must have been pleased with the outcome.

I don't see where everyone is saying that the game is now "unpredictable". Regardless of what the Survivor site reported this morning, Colby did NOT vote for Jerri. His ballot clearly said Elizabeth. The alliance has shifted. It now contains: Keith, Tina, Elizabeth and Rodger. Mark my words - unless an immunity challenge messes things up - Colby is the next one off the island, followed by Nick and Amber. The final four will be Keith, Tina, Elizabeth and Rodger, and I'm counting on Tina to win.

You guys are overanalyzing. The reality is, most of these people are not very intelligent. Amber is obviously and idiot. Elizabeth ain't too bright either. Last real episode she "noticed" that Jerri and Tina didn't get along. No kidding. Way to pick up on that one so quick.
They voted out Jerri b/c she was hard to be around and somewhat of a threat because her vote counted twice thanks to Amber.
Next episode, Nick is gone. Then Colby, Amber, Elizabeth, Rodger. Tina beats Keith. I'm basing this on nothing so I get to change later if I want.

The Ogakor-3 Messed Up
I think the Ogakor-3 (Colby, Keith, Tina) may have messed up by voting for Jerri. Because they may have alienated Amber by their backstabbing and she's the swing vote they need to continue to pick off Kucha members. Actually, if they wanted to get rid of Jerri, a better strategy would have been to vote against Rodger. They knew Kucha was voting against Jerri, so there would be 2 votes against Elisabeth and then Jerri and Rodger in a 3 vote tie-breaker, which Jerri would lose. Then they could convince Amber that there was a miscommunication in who to vote off in case Nick got immunity and they were supposed to vote off Rodger.
Advantage of this plan:
- The Ogakor-3 don't risk alienating Amber
- Rodger picks up 3 votes (may prove key in future tie-breakers)
- Elisabeth picks up 2 votes (may prove key in future tie-breakers)
- And they still get rid of the Evil One, Jerri
