Jeff Probst speaks the truth!

Are they planning on doing any more of these "action up to this point" type episodes? There wasn't much added to tonights show at all.

I did enjoy the Keith, Kel, Mad Dog canoe ride though. I believe that was never before seen footage. Poor Kel was done wrong. :(

Patman 03-22-01 11:45 AM

No, this episode was to push the finale of Survivor into the May Sweeps month so that CBS can rack up the ratings. Plus, it's a decent half-way point to bring new viewers into the fold.

That canoe ride just added to my confusion ; Mad Dog Marilyn seemed to be a staunch supporter of Kel on the canoe. Then what caused her to say what she said at tribal council....."If you were starving, we would give you some food.... blah blah..." Why the 180?

Its my thinking that she didn't want to make herself a target by being the only one to not vote for him.

bluedevil 03-26-01 03:40 PM

Either she didn't want to make herself a target or she was just a ruthless backstabber. The same logic probably applies to Tina's vote for Maddog later on. I tend to agree with you that she didn't want to alienate herself from the others.

Patman 03-29-01 07:31 PM

Jeri is so gone after this current episode.

zuffy 03-29-01 07:59 PM

zuffy 03-29-01 08:11 PM

All I can say is that show was simply beautiful! :)

Pudthai 03-29-01 08:17 PM

Spoiler:
It appears that Colby had to cave into Keith and Tina. Keith and Tina could have voted Jerri off by themselves with Roger's and Elisabeth's vote of course. Colby had no choice but to go with the new alliance. I guess that Amber and Colby must win some immunity challenges now.

woo-hoo! me too! Did Colby vote against Jerri? If so, I even got the count right(see my post above from the 14th). I couldn't tell because I tivo'd it at too low of a quality to read Colby' vote. Anyhow, no more of that C U Next Thursday:)

Wazootyman 03-29-01 09:07 PM

Spoiler:

Does anyone else think that the old Ogakor team screw themselves over tonight? I mean they had the chance to vote off Elisabeth (I'm pleased that they didn't though :)) But instead they vote off Jerri. This leaves 3 Kuchas, and 4 Ogakors... but one of the Ogakors (Amber) is a massive swing vote who had befriended Jerri, the one who was recently backstabbed. Kucha could EASILY pull Amber to their side, and pick off Colby. If Colby wins Immunity next week, then Keith is gone next week (and Vice Versa) Ogakor should have waited a week...

I mean 3 days... a week for us though!

Nick bought himself three days, but in the meantime....

Na na, na na na na, HEY HEY, GOODBYE.

Jeraden 03-29-01 11:13 PM

Survivor over on WC so no more spoilers needed. I don't understand the strategy behind voting Jerri off this early, it makes no sense. I couldn't hear the end when Colby and Keither were discussing votes in the tent (someone here was blabbering and missed it). They were disagreeing with who to vote off next... which one wanted Jerri off? Colby had the game won if he kept Jerri on and got rid of the rest of the other tribe. As someone else posted, now there is no longer a certainty of who is going to ally with who anymore which weakens everyone but the Kuchas (or are those 3 ogakor, always get them mixed up).
