That said, it seems like the series was mostly a repurposing of the Uncanny X-Men comics' greatest hits. Throw them in a box, shake it up, and see what comes out. Looks like they kept a mostly stable line-up of characters, unlike the comic, where members would come and go quite often.

I honestly don't give two shits about the MCU or Star Wars right now.
Just give me more X-men '97 for the next 10 years.
I've watched these three episodes more times than I watched the original X-men films.

One thing I hate about modern day TV is how few episodes there are and how long it is in between seasons. That goes doubly when there is a cartoon like this 10 episodes is exceptionally short.

Really depends on the show for me. There are many where I am good with ten to thirteen episodes while a show that is only half an hour like X-Men could have twenty. The original run was 13,13, 19,21,10.

Yes absolutely it depends on the show. Most shows I prefer a tight 10 episode season. But when it's really good and already short at 20 minute episodes, 10 episodes just isn't enough. Especially when they have so many stories that they could tell on this show. But at least the pacing is quick so they are fitting a lot in a 20 min show.

Star Trek - Strange New Worlds. Since it is mostly episodic I could easily do twenty plus a year. Felt like it was over with too soon. Feels like there were stories there that other shows would drag out for an entire season vs one episode.

I love the pacing. They are giving us more stories by not dragging it out too long. A show like this could have twenty five episodes a season and I would be good with it. There is also the fact a lot of these ten episode seasons only happen once every two to three years. If it could at least be every year that would help.

I know we're getting OT here and it just seems to be us two, but I think I'm done with the trend of season long, or even series long story arcs. It's they're good then it ends up being a great season/show. But too many times the build up is just not worth it. It can ruin dozens of hours of TV if the plot arc isn't resolved in a satisfying manner. And most of the times it isn't.

Good episode and the first one that seems to be a multi-parter. Enjoyed the recreated 16-bit simulations.

So looking forward to this. I don't know what Beau DeMayo did to warrant his separation from Disney but at least we have two season of his done. This show is so dialed into the audience and characters than anything Marvel has done in years.

5 episodes in, this is the best Marvel has done since Endgame ended.

It's like the comic books. No body = not dead.
Also, it's like the comic books. Dead =/= dead. There are mistakes, resurrections, surprises, clones, hidden identities, changelings, etc.
