I got sidetracked on a couple of other shows but did watch the first episode and it's great. Knowing s3 is soon... I'll definitely make this a priority now.

Trailer looks great... can't wait.

I watched another episode or two last week then just waited for the weekend. Binged the last 10 or 11. So good!

Re: The Diplomat (Netflix) -- S: Keri Russell -- Premieres 4/20/23

Less than a month away. I'm really looking forward to season three. I usually don't binge shows, but I watched the first two seasons in three weeks. I may try to stagger season 3 so I don't watch them all at once and then have to wait 2 or 3 years for season 4.

Hasn't been that bad. 18 months between one and two and 12 between two and three. And back up to 8 episodes instead of 6 like season 2.

Season 3 is out. Guess I know what I'm watching tonight... Unless I save it for a day long binge on Sunday. Renewed for s4 already.

Re: The Diplomat (Netflix) -- S: Keri Russell -- Premieres 4/20/23

I'll use spoiler tags to give my thoughts on the ending:
Spoiler:
Grace Penn planned the attack on the UK to keep the nuclear base in the UK so the US would have a line of defense against Russia and China, but now I have very mixed feelings on Kate and Hal. Kate and Hal are covering for her, but they were put in a pretty terrible situation after telling the President and accidentally killing him. I'm sure the geopolitical implications would be massive if the US lost another President by impeachment shortly after the previous President died. They now stole a weapon of mass destruction and are lying about it. I'm sure they did it to keep it out of the hands of other nations, but how much further are they going to go? I was really hoping the endgame would be Kate eventually in the White House since they've been teasing that since the beginning of the series, but I wonder if it would be better for America and the world if the Penns and Wylers were out of the White House completely.

Re: The Diplomat (Netflix) -- S: Keri Russell -- Premieres 4/20/23

Nice to see Ross Poldark show up in the last few episodes. I also loved Bradley Whitford's scenes as the "First Lady." That dinner scene with the Brits and Americans was great.

Could have done without the British PM's sex scene, with his wife instructing him: "Vigorous."

A great season overall. Interesting revelations at the end.

I did too... I wondered if her telling the Foreign Secretary there would be limits to the UK's requests set the wildcard side of the PM off.

Re: The Diplomat (Netflix) -- S: Keri Russell -- Premieres 4/20/23

This show certainly knows how to stick the cliffhanger endings.

I thought the first episode of season 3 was amazingly frenetic, and the rest didn't quite live up to that, but it was still really good.
