Jon Stewart is returning to host Monday episodes through the election, with correspondents hosting Tuesday-Thursday.

Their ratings much have tanked since going the host-less route, which makes sense. People tune into these daily shows for the consistency of the host. If I were one of the higher ranked correspondents, I'd go the route of Roy Wood and jump ship. CC isn't giving the job to any of them if they haven't already.

The voice of Gen X maybe. Zoomers probably don't know who he is, and Millennials probably don't care about his return as much as we do.

Jon Stewart's takedowns of officials from "The Problem With..." do HUGE numbers on TikTok. I think it's a smart move to bring him back, especially for the younger folks who didn't watch him on The Daily Show but are politically active now.

It bothers me how dismissive people are of Tik Tok because all they see are the "new dance craze" videos, or the Jackass style stunts. I've managed to find a lot of people discussing current events in a fun but still informative way, and I think it's helping to educate a lot of younger people.

If they keep posting to Tik Tok, Jon will easily grow a new fanbase of younger viewers.

They should just back a truck full of money up to Jon Stewart's house and be done with it.
