why didn't they talk or show how Silver got out of jail? nothing was seen or heard in ep 1 at least.

I don't think he's out of jail.

of course he is. He started up the new dojos and we saw Chozen in the last scene right there with Silver. Even if he was in jail, they would have alluded to it. He’s def out, but why not even an inkling of a mention. Seems odd.

I think I’m watching the wrong fucking season. I’m so confused.

I didn’t even know season 6 premiered until I launched Netflix planning to watch something else

Just watched first episode. It was ok. The fight choreography was not good.

It's really pretty annoying how much every single rivalry was rehashed yet again. It's the final season. I'm ready for Daniel and Johnny to team up with some disagreements in teaching methods, not actively going behind each other's backs and coming to blows.

Episode 3 was really good. Complete opposite in fight quality choreography from episode 1. I’m really enjoying the Korean storyline.

And the Miyagi history mystery is intriguing.

This one is puzzling to me. I guess it takes place after his wife and son die and he's out of the service?
I also never got the feeling that Chozen and Kumiko ever got together.. friends, yes, but nothing more than that.

Finished episode 5. Overall grade B for this first half.

Only “new” plot that was intriguing was the Korean Cobra Kai.

Cool to see Mike Barnes again with a better fight and not getting knocked out really quick like last time.

Excellent build up with the Sam and Tory fight and climactic ending. Well done, I’m Team Tory!

^And some fine acting by Peyton on her (2nd-to-) last scene to boot!

That was Kreese. The only Silver cameo was young Silver during a flashback.

I just finished the first batch of episodes and it’s a little predictable. Once Kreese told Tory she was his champion and her Mom dying happened, I was like she’s gonna defect.

I half expected Kenny to show up with Tory as well.

I was surprised he didn't show up before Kreese said "let the games begin."

I gotta say, after the refreshing early episodes ditching all the old rivalries, I was disappointed to see them rehashed towards the end of this batch of episodes.

Same ol stuff, still fun. Still like how crazy fights start in public and nothing happens.

Need more Stingray. But hes off to bigger and better things.

Some of these kids though.

Couldnt they have said to Mary Mouser, “ hey this is the last season, lets make this great and believable that you are so good at martial arts, and put down the fucking fork and practice”

And some look like celebrity offspring.

Tory/ Tommy Wiseau

Demetri/ Joe Flaherty

part 2 will be how everyone hates each other, fights, part 3 they love each other. Rinse and repeat. The main actors do hold this show together and make it fun, even though its the same shit over and over.

.

Apparently the weight gain came as a side effect from her diabetes treatment. I didn't know that either a few pages back.

Even if she didn't there's no need to be an asshole.

‘Cobra Kai’ Adds Lewis Tan, Patrick Luwis & Rayna Vallandingham To Sixth & Final Season

EXCLUSIVE: Netflix‘s Cobra Kai has a few more surprises in store for its sixth and final season. When Part 2 premieres on November 15, Lewis Tan (Deadpool v. Wolverine, Mortal Kombat), Patrick Luwis (Rebel Moon) and Rayna Vallandingham, in her acting debut.

Tan will play “Sensei Wolf,” Luwis will play “Axel Kovacevic” and Vallandingham will play “Zara Malik.”
Rayna is pretty damn kick ass... not sure about her acting ability, but she's more than effecient in her martial arts skills.

Agreed - I follow her on TikTok and she's incredible. Not surprised to see her on screen for stuff like this - she seems like a natural.

I've never given this show any grief for being cheesy... but the first 5 episodes were pretty awful. I can forgive almost all the "teenage angst" stuff but Daniel constantly complaining to his wife about Miyagi-do tradition? And that poor lady has to sit there and talk him off the ledge?

Love the call back to Karate Kid 3 in Episode 7 with an appearance by Dennis. Too bad the other guy wasn't Snake.

Just finished. Aside from the plane ride everything was pretty solid.
Spoiler:
Glad to see Silvers back
