I would expect that may hotels, especially higher end ones, would have cameras down the hallways and near or in the elevators. So they would very likely know how many people were in the hallway on his floor and possibly if anybody went into or near his room.

So weird. Those injuries are way more extensive than I expected. You'd think he'd have been knocked out where he fell or slumped over somewhere and not lying in bed on his back as if he went to sleep like any other night which is the impression I got from the original reports. Hard to believe there wasn't bruising to his face around the eye with fracture to the "roof of the eye socket". However people with head injuries do behave oddly so it could be after hitting his head hard on tile or porcelain he wasn't thinking clearly at all and just automatically went to bed.

I didn't read the initial reports on how they found him... was he found in regular day clothes sleeping above the sheets, or was he in sleep attire under the sheets (or any combination of the two) ?

I don't know if a description of what he was wearing has been reported but the family said he'd probably bumped his head then went to bed without thinking anything of it. That seems to indicate he was dressed for sleeping. An early police report said he was found in bed flat on his back facing upwards with his left arm across his chest and the right resting on the bed. The security guard noted the lights were off in the room which also suggests he went to sleep.

People dismissed me for saying this sounded suspicious.
It always did. I figured it was drugs or alcohol and not reported. But now this.

Re: Bob Saget dead at 65
I know when I had a serious concussion after a scooter accident (kid on a bike, going downhill at at least 20 mph around a blind curve hit me head on) I had such a nasty headache after I regained consciousness I just wanted to take a nap. I was wearing a helmet, fortunately, so I had no skull fractures, but it was one serious concussion. I wanted to nap on the way to the E.R. but my mom made sure I stayed awake.
So, yeah, I can see someone doing that, and being impaired enough to not realize how badly they're hurt. Instinctively you just want to go to sleep. With many injuries, that's a good thing. With severe head trauma, it can be very bad.

Yep, the report matches what I expected...
Exactly what I said above. He wasn't with it enough to realize he was badly injured. He was confused, impaired, and, as a result of the injury, extremely drowsy.
Nothing indicating foul play.
Such an extensive head injury would likely have left the actor confused, if not unconscious, experts said.Bob Saget, the comedian and actor, died after what appeared to be a significant blow to the head, one that fractured his skull in several places and caused bleeding across both sides of his brain, according to an autopsy report released on Friday.
The findings complicated the picture of Mr. Saget’s death that has emerged in recent days: Far from a head bump that might have been shrugged off, the autopsy described an unmistakably serious set of injuries that would at the very least have probably left someone confused, brain experts said.
The report, prepared by Dr. Joshua Stephany, the chief medical examiner of Orange and Osceola counties in Florida, ascribed Mr. Saget’s injuries to a fall.
“It is most probable that the decedent suffered an unwitnessed fall backwards and struck the posterior aspect of his head,” Dr. Stephany wrote, referring to the back of the skull.
If the actor struck his head hard enough, and in just the wrong place, it is possible that fractures would have extended to other parts of his skull, brain injury experts said. Situations where someone cannot break their fall are even more dangerous.
“It’s like an egg cracking,” said Dr. Jeffrey Bazarian, an emergency physician and concussion expert at the University of Rochester Medical Center. “You hit it in one spot, and it can crack from the back to the front.”
But experts said that with such an extensive injury, it was unlikely that Mr. Saget would have intentionally ignored it. The injury would likely have left him confused, if not unconscious.
“I doubt he was lucid,” Dr. Bazarian said, “and doubt he thought, ‘I’m just going to sleep this off.’”

UPDATE 9:18 AM PT -- A judge has granted Bob's family the temporary restraining order it requested to block the release of photos from the scene in his hotel room.
Bob Saget's death is creating a mystery for many experts, who wonder how he suffered such a severe skull fracture ... and what exactly he hit -- but authorities are firm on what didn't happen, and they think the injury was caused by something connected to the bed.
As we've reported, Bob died from a brain bleed after hitting his head on something. Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation tell us the Medical Examiner and police are clear there was no foul play, and they're certain the blow to his head had to happen in the hotel.
We're told the injury to his head was severe enough that they're sure he could not have made the 2-hour drive from Jacksonville to the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando.
But, here's the mystery ... some medical experts say the skull fracture is consistent with being hit by a bat, or falling as far as 30 feet. Obviously, that kind of fall didn't happen, but as for Bob being struck -- we're told the electronic front door lock to his hotel room shows no one else entered the room. Once Bob entered, the next time the door opened was when hotel staff found him in the afternoon.
Our sources say the authorities say it's most likely Bob struck a portion of the bed's headboard that is not padded. We're told it's wood, and the best guess is he hit his head. Since he was under the covers, they believe he quickly lost consciousness. What's interesting ... although authorities on the scene felt the headboard scenario was the most likely, the Medical Examiner never mentioned it.
Rather, the M.E. theorizes it was an "unwitnessed fall backwards."
We're told the authorities who discovered Bob's body did not see a bruise on his head. We're told the bruise was only discovered during the autopsy.
Saget's family has filed a lawsuit in Orange County, Florida to block the release of photos from the hotel room -- because under Florida law police could go public with the images.

What was he doing tht he could have hit his head on the headboard that hard and then still be able to get under the covers.

You don't have to hit your head that hard. My aunt slipped and hit her head on the sidewalk a few years back. She seemed fine and even hosted a party that evening. Then she went to bed and never woke up due to a brain bleed.

The way the media had been reporting the story, I thought Saget's family was trying to block the autopsy reports and whatnot. I am fine with blocking photos from the scene.
What the hell killed him though? This has "weird kinky sex vibe" written all over it.

Yeah, it's understood that you don't have to hit your head hard to die - but in this case, it was a severe impact causing a large fracture.
It's a really weird scenario. Hard to imagine what happened.
Does the electronic door lock indicate how long a door is open for? If not, then it wouldn't rule out someone entering with him and leaving the door open and then leaving afterwards.

No bruise? Did they drop him on his head while removing his body? Though I'd assume that'd also leave a mark.

Is this 2020's version of the Bob Crane Murder Mystery?
Was Saget involved in something embarrassing or some weird sex act that went wrong?

Some new details released:Saget likely hit head on 'something hard, covered by something soft': Police report
Florida police released its final report into the death of Bob Saget.
On Tuesday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office shared a redacted report with information about Saget's autopsy, stating that the comedian suffered a fracture at the base of his skull that led to bleeding around the brain. The force of that injury on his skull "broke the orbital bones at the front of his skull."
The medical examiner said that the injury was most likely caused by "something hard, covered by something soft," such as a fall onto a carpeted floor.
The final police report into Saget's death comes just over two months after the "Full House" actor died unexpectedly.
Saget, 65, was found unresponsive in his hotel room hours after performing a stand-up comedy set in Orlando, Florida. The Orange County medical examiner determined that Saget died of a head injury likely sustained in a fall.
On Monday, a Florida judge ruled in favor of Saget's family that no photos nor body camera footage involving the late actor's sudden death can be released to media outlets.
The Saget family had sued to block the release of records and photos of Bob Saget's sudden death earlier this year, arguing that the pain they already felt would be exacerbated if any of it was published.
The family won a permanent injunction on Monday as they continue to mourn the man beloved by many.

Of course, I imagine this will only give way to those who want to spin it as he was hit on the head by something wrapped in something soft like a hammer wrapped in a towel or something.

I find it very strange that his death report is being kept private into perpetuity. Does that happen often? No way this was just "He fell and hit his head on something".

"A toxicology screen revealed the presence of some prescription drugs, but nothing the medical examiner noted as a contributing factor in Saget's death. No alcohol or illegal substances were found."- CNN
I certainly can understand their want to not have photos and such out in public. That said, I find it hard to believe he fell on a carpet and that damage killed him. But I suppose stranger things have happened and sometimes, with these "mysteries", it's because it was something so simple the bigger tales or speculation overshadowed the real answers.
