In the beginning she was a good parody, now she is a bad and almost offensive stereotype. The character changed. In the beginning, she was a "bad principal" who was realistic albeit not real. The character is no longer making fun of aspects that should be parodied, she is just a "double-down" dipshit that is a "stop the show and look at me" caricature. In the beginning, I could see her running a school. Now, she is a cartoon.

I don't hate the character or Janelle James (her performance is good!), I hate what the writers have done to her. It is cheapening a show that began as one that cut to the bone through humor.

That's fine. Many others disagree and love her.

What is there to love?

Didn’t know until just now but apparently there’s a new episode on tonight after the Oscars.

Love the show. Love Ava. Love Gregory. Love the cast. It’s just so great.

Like the office if it was heartwarming

The final scene in last week's episode with the janitors panel and the roomba was hilarious.

The only thing I don't enjoy about this show is the lead character. The B plots and other scenes without her are more enjoyable, in my opinion.

There's going to be an Abbott / Always Sunny crossover episode this season. I don't know which show's season it will be part of.

Was hoping it was on Sunny just because I can see the Abbott characters being the straight men on that more than I can see the wackiness of Sunny working on Abbott but whatevers clever. Look forward to it.

So I guess I have to watch 169 episodes of another show just so I can understand this one episode.

Or you could just know that the Sunny gang is a bunch of degenerates who own a bar in Philly.

Saw an interview with Brunson where she was asked about the crossover. She said the Abbott episode will be from their POV and there will be a Sunny episode in their next season will be their version of what happens.

So is it a crossover with High Potential too?

I think I watched one episode years ago to see what all the fuss was about but I didn't find it very funny so didn't watch any more. It seems odd for ABC to approve the star of their biggest new hit show to appear on another one of their shows but playing a character from a completely different show on a different network. Seems to me that it would just confuse ABC viewers.

I've never seen "Sunny". Why would they be at this school other than also being set in Philly? And the Disney connection...
