Pretty good episode. Yes, the cold open was off. Laughed out loud at "mellon" and "Weekend Update". And smiled like crazy during "What's Up with That?". Also, I love love love Brandi Carlile. Didn't know her prior to hearing "The Joke" for the very first time on some Sirius station about two years ago. And got to know her more on Stern. He's a huge fan and she's been his show twice. Her performances were great and I will definitely see her next time she's in my town.

She’s amazing, and she has a ton of albums for about 15 years, and I think she’s only 40.

what an odd show. It got progressively better.

Jason hitting on Ego in the parent teacher sketch was great.

Did Sudekis flip the bird in one of those SNL photo promos they show after a commercial break is over?

It was a good decent episode and I don't think Sudekis ever got the pops, praise, or huge laughs for everything he did when he was on the show but after Ted Lasso now people appreciate his humor.

I got a kick out of a Rolling Stone tweet saying Kenan Thompson stole the show in What’s Up With That.

Saturday Night Live procured an all-star panel for their latest “What Up With That” sketch — Oscar Isaac, Emily Ratajkowski and Succession’s Nicholas Braun — but it was Kenan Thompson’s host who stole the show.


They list those three people like they are name checking real celebrity A-listers.

Not to completely derail the topic, but "The Card Counter" is fantastic. One of 2021's best IMO.

Best episode of the season so far. Every sketch Sudaikis was in was great. And his appearance as the devil on Weekend Update was hilarious.
