re: SNL General Discussion Thread
still no listing of who is still in the cast though huh?

re: SNL General Discussion Thread
I think the cast is going to stay mostly the same. They might add a new featured player or two.

re: SNL General Discussion Thread
Kim K in episode 2 yuk.
They should have had Sudekis as the week 1 host since he has all the buzz now and not sure why Owen Wilson was chosen since he has no movies coming out. |

Based on what? Have you heard anything about Kate, Cecily, Amy? Because as of Sunday, even Cecily didn’t know if she was coming back
Which wouldn't necessarily preclude people like Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, or Pete Davidson who have outside prospects and opportunities from bolting, but I don't think Lorne will shake up the cast much and try to appease the ones who are already there. So three more years of Kyle Mooney and Bowen Yang. |

Woody Harrelson, Awkwafina, Gal Godot, Margot Robbie and Miley Cyrus have all been recent Episode 1 hosts. Names, sure, but not huge deals. |
re: SNL General Discussion Thread
I'm pretty tolerant when it comes to questionable hosts, but I draw the line at a fucking Kardashian. Will never give one of hose biotches a second of my time.

Ugh, if anyone needs to go, it's those two. |

I agree and he is kind of a has-been and not as big as he was in the early 2000's. He has not been in a hit since 2011. The French Dispatch is a ensemble and he is not the driving force in that movie. Usually they get somebody with some buzz or a emerging star for the premiere and Sudekis is established but he has a hot show which won several Emmys which would have been a better choice. |

ESPECIALLY those two. Did you see Yang on the Emmy’s? Excruciating.
I don’t think he’s very funny at all. Mooney is awful too. |

Not to piss off a bunch of this forum, but Yang being Asian and gay probably means he’s there as long as he wants to be.

I think Wilson is there to promote Wedding Crashers 2.

And keep in mind that whoever they get has to commit to spending the week in NYC for the show. A lot of people already have jobs. |

I don't know about that, but his inexplicable Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series while still being a Featured Player pretty much guaranteed his inclusion into the principle cast and a long stay.
