Yea, I bet she is someone they go after for later in the year.

I was surprised that Wet Leg wasn't the MG on the 17th after their week-long run of NYC shows.

Flipped on the Miley New Years (aka the Lorne Michaels one) and damn. Chloe Fineman really is thoroughly gorgeous.

Was she wearing someone unusually sexy or soemthing?

Naw, not really. Just some strapless thing with some jiggling. And Bowen Yang is bad at stories like everything else.

I'm surprised Wet Leg hasn't been on yet, they seem like a perfect fit.

I bet they will probably sometime in 2023.

I assume the next new show will be in late Jan

Bowen Yang has in my opinion gotten a bit better this season. I am slowly coming around to liking him, considering how awful he was in his first season I am shocked to type that..

I think it’s Gwyneth Paltrow in drag. 😉

Chris Jericho on his podcast had a debate about the 10 best SNL cast members of all time with Jaime Drew and Thomas Sena from the SNL Hall of Fame podcast.

Surprised Jericho picked Cheri O' Teri.

She was ok but in the top 10 all time? Not sure about that.

Haven’t listened, but any Top 10 SNL list HAS to start with
Belushi
Aykroyd
Murray
Gilda

Then obviously includes
Murphy
Ferrell

So that’s six that are kind of set in stone.
For me next it would be
Myers
Carvey
Wiig

Now you’ve got one spot left and have to choose between :
Chase, Hartman, Hooks, Crystal, Sandler, Farley, Sudakis, Hader, Fey, Pohler, Armisen, Rudolph, McKinnon. And dozens of others.

I’d go with Hartman.
No way Oteri sniffs the Top 10. Maybe she’s #10 on an all-female list.

Phil Hartman is one of the very best. Top #3 for sure. And could be my favorite. Jon Lovitz was on Stern this week and told the nicest stories about him. He said Phil was loved by everyone in everything he was a part of. In the Groundlings, "SNL" and "NewsRadio".

Literally just sitting here going through the years in my mind, I would go with
70s: Belushi, Radner, Murray
80s: Murphy
late 80s/ early 90s: Carvey, Hartman, Hooks, Miller, Myers
90s: Farley, Sandler, Ferrell
2000s: Poehler, Hader, Fey

That's 15 naming just what I would call superstars and leaving off many fantastic cast members.

Agree with most of these. But as much as I loved Dennis Miller anchoring "Weekend Update", and he could be my favorite anchor, he didn't do much else on the show to warrant a position on a best of list. Post "SNL" he continued to be a great stand up and "Dennis Miller Live" was a must see. I would replace him here with Kevin Nealon or maybe Nora Dunn in the late 80s/early 90's category.

You don’t have Dan Aykroyd in your Top 15?

Well, I remember how bad WU was in the 80s before Miller came in, and I think Miller deserves a huge amount of credit for making WU a solid centerpiece for the show again. Plus, I think Miller found a great balance for LOL jokes and sharp political observations, which has informed WU (and more) ever since. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I started making my list with an eye towards keeping the number down, and starting out with 4 from the first cast would have been a bad start. He would make my top 20, almost top 10%.

Totally. And IMO, I think Jane Curtin did a better job anchoring "Weekend Update" than Chevy Chase. Who was great. But she really shined. Miller is 100% responsible for resurrecting it 5 years later. And it just kept getting better and better with Nealon, Macdonald, Quinn, Fey and Fallon, etc.

Sounds like she'll be invited back as host at least once a season now.

When I realized it was a band, not a person, I remembered that I saw them once on the show When The Whistle Blows. They were okay. Not as good as Smokepurpp or Lil Pump, who should be MG. Word!

I seriously thought you were joking in the vein of "who are these SNL bands I'm so old" we always get. But you were serious?
