Sad to hear it, I really loved her when she was on the show. I have two favorite skits of hers, the one where she is at a bus stop and shares her chapstick with everyone and she is totally grossed out and the other is when she breaks up with a boyfriend and her family chooses him over her. She's a very funny lady.

I wasn't a huge fan of Victoria Jackson even before she came out as a nut job (politically); I thought Jan Hooks (RIP) had to do all the heavy lifting of female characters in that time. Although that was also the era I called "Murderer 's Row" of male talent, still probably the best in the show's history.
One Jackson skit that comes to mind though is in the episode Wayne Gretzky hosted, where she played the call in talk show host that had no idea how to solve anyone's problems. When a woman called in about how to deal with sexism in her workplace, Jackson asked Wayne how he got ahead. "I practiced a lot and my dad coached me." Jackson turns around and offers that as a suggestion. It was pretty damn funny.

Re: SNL General Discussion Thread
Watched parts of this SNL alumni draft game and was wondering if enough people here would be interested in doing something similar. The setup was each person drafts a team of 5 snl alumni and they get 1 point for each appearance on a regular episode of this season, 2 points for an appearance of the 50th anniversary special, and 3 points for someone on their team hosting an episode this season As much as I’d be down for doing this I can’t recommend the actual video itself as a lot of them ramble particularly one guy who starts “bits” when he’s doing his picks without knowing where he’s going …..
Anyways if anyone is interested would have to act fast before they announce hosts for the next season. Thinking a minimum of 5 people to make it worthwhile . If we get there happy to facilitate the draft as much as I can. Thinking it might be quicker to just each make a list of top picks down to the total amount of picks there would be than take the time to each go 1 by 1. So if there were 6 of us playing wed each list our top 30 picks and then someone would compile the lists and run through all 30 picks based on our lists.

At first I thought it was Chloe Fineman and did a google search and did not find any news
That sucks and maybe she had potential though most of the stuff she did was met with stone silence from the audience.

I predict this is the season of Marcello and maybe he gets all the girls like Pete Davidson did.
Emil Wakim the first Lebanese comedian to join the cast.
Now waiting for the day a Indian finally joins the cast since there are a lot of them doing stand up.

This is quite the break for up-and-coming comedy performers Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline who will get to join NBC’s venerable late-night sketch program Saturday Night Live for its milestone 50th season that will be marked by celebrations, reunions and high profile guests.
The trio will be the three featured players on the show next season. Chloe Troast who was brought in as a featured player last season, is leaving. Meanwhile, after two years as featured players, Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker are being promoted to the main cast.
The majority of SNL performers, including all longtime veterans, will be back for Season 50, which premieres Sept 28, with alumna Maya Rudolph returning to reprise her Kamala Harris impersonation through the Presidential election.
In addition to Troast, departing the show are Punkie Johnson after four seasons and Molly Kearney after two.

Troast seemed to mainly be used in sketches for her singing. Only at the end of the season did they give her a little more to do.
