So this weeks Ep of "GHOSTS" on CBS had OG SNL performer Laraine Newman play the mom of one of the ghosts. I think it's time to round up the still living OG cast together on the show for a cameo.

We are only two years shy of the 50th Season. That special should be huge and should feature everyone.

To do right by the show and all the casts, NBC should devote an entire week of primetime to the 50 anniversary.

They should a week where each night the stars of the 70's-2010's do a show together from castmates from there era but probably the Downey Jr and Anthony Michael Hall era might be neglected.

March 4th & 11 hosts and musical guests announced

March 4 – Travis Kelce / Kelsea Ballerini

March 11 – Jenna Ortega / The 1975

Cool. I was thinking the other day : Would they ask Patrick Mahomes to host post Super Bowl victory like they did with Joe Montana, Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, then I thought Travis Kelce would probably be more fun but it seemed like a very long shot. Stunned they went with him, but he's a funny guy and quite a character. I can't remember an active non-QB NFL player hosting before.

And while I have zero idea who his Musical Guest is, I am stoked that The 1975 will be Jenna Ortega's musical guest. They're fabulous and the new album is amazing.

Also how weird is it to not have new shows in February? It's Sweeps month.
I guess they do have Woody Harrelson on 2/25.

In the lead-up to the Big Game, I was thinking that it might be fun to have the Kelce brother host.

Jenna Ortega was inevitable.

Now where are the damn Linda Lindas as MG??

I'm sure Jason will show up for some ribbing in the monolog and probably a sketch as well.

SNL viewers using cable, dish or streaming are being counted for every episode, so the counting of viewers during certain months is of less importance than it used to be. They have what they need to know about viewership whenever a new episode airs. Plus SNL in the East and Central does not have any original programming competition that would otherwise be attractive to advertisers.

The prospect of TWO professional football players doing sketch comedy definitely notches up the must-see factor.

If both brothers are there all week, I would expect both Heidi and Chloe will have plenty of BDE at their disposal. They might both be walking side to side by Sat nite.

Heidi's hubby may have a problem with that, but hey, more for Chloe!

Do the sweeps months still exist?

They would have concerts and big specials in Nov and Feb and maybe May too but not anymore

Actually doing a little searching online, Neilson did away with Sweeps months in 2018. I didn't know that.

Helps make sense of why ABC has stopped pushing for the Oscars to be in February.

Last night's rerun was a 20 year anniv from Feb 22, 2003 with host Chris Walken and MG Foo Fighters. Sketches included The Continental and Colonel Angus (which I find hilarious). Will Ferrell, Britney Spears and Steve Martin all showed up as guests on WU. Bad night for Tina and Jimmy's hair.

Looked back over the last two pages and didn’t see it mentioned so wanted to call our the Fly on the Wall podcast on SNL hosted by Dana Carvey and David Spade. It’s a decent show generally but occasionally goes off the rails like the Chevy Chase interview (due to Chevy) and the McCartney interview which at parts sounded a lot like the Chris Farley show skit which they notice towards the end.

Weird seeing the Colonel Angus sketch on during primetime.

Wonder if there were any kids watching bemused as to why their parents thought it was so funny.

Does it actually happen in the 21st century that families watch TV together?

I have that in my Apple podcast library.

Finally football is over so I can listen to more of their shows.

They warned on the Bill Burr episode there would be a extensive discussion of drumming.

I think I like the three-legged jeans ad better though.
