re: SNL General Discussion Thread
It will be Seth Meyers.
He's been an SNL head writer.
He's been a cast member and Weekend Update anchor.
He's a good executive producer. He loves the daily grind of Late Night and does well with it. He showcases young talent and has old Hollywood connections.
He'll get tapped to take over and Late Night will get a new host..
And that host will be Kenan Thompson.

The only way that Lorne doesn’t Produce the 50th season is if health issues arise.

Will they have a 50th anniversary special and will it air around 9 months before the actual anniversary like they did for the 40th anniversary?

Broadcast TV exists to get people to watch the commercials. I have no idea how many people actually watch SNL when it is broadcast, and audiences for network TV have been on a downward slide for decades. Add that to the fact that SNL has been on a downward slide for years. I would not put it past NBC to put a Lorne-less SNL out of its misery.

It would be like ending the Tonight Show or Meet the Press if they ended SNL so I don't think that would ever happen and with all the history behind the show nobody would stay quiet and protest if the show ended.
Maybe Seth Meyers could do it but it seems he found his niche with Late Night with Seth Meyers and he has young kids so it might be too big of a job for him.

For an actress, she's not that sexy. For a comedienne, she's very sexy.

Bay Area women are notorious for their wanton promiscuity. That's were the phrase San Francisco treat comes from.

As much as I have loved her on SNL, my gut feeling is that she will never do anything big.
