Filler? You really think the discovery of the active Imperial base and what was going on there isn't going to have any bearing on what happens the rest of the season? This episode had as much consequential plot going on as any episode in the whole series.

Definitely, there’s still plot development in each episode, some more than others. But some of the expectations people have after years of watching more serialized shows is definitely not doing them favors when watching this show.

Pretty good episode overall. Lots of cool moments with the Imperial base. The end reveal with Gideon is interesting. Seems like we have an idea now what his purpose is for wanting The Child.

The chase sequence was cool with the speeder bikes as well as Mando taking out the Tie Fighters.

Also kind of liked the teacher protocol droid.

Not entirely. At least they partially revealed why the Imperial remnants are still hunting for the child. I assume it was

Spoiler:
a bunch of Snoke clones growing in those tanks (ugh), or at least an experiment in creating Force powerful clones by infusing them with baby Yoda blood. They did show all that dark trooper armor ready to go in the last scene with Moff Gideon.

Spoiler:
Yeah, I was thinking what we saw were some cloning experiments for what eventually became Snoke. That was the first thing that I thought of was the tanks of failed Snokes in The Rise of Skywalker.

I keep thinking this season is gonna end in a cliffhanger with the child being taken.

 The opening scene of Mando trying to talk Baby Yoda through how to repair the ship is just like when I have to talk my mother through how to do something on the computer.

Pleasantly surprised to see Mr. Kim again. I thought that was going to be a one-and-done cameo.

Been loving every episode so far, specifically because so much of them are "filler". Was disappointed to hear the M-word. I think the force works best as something spiritual, rather than something a bunch off eggheads whip up in the lab.

Well, it's canon, so we're sorta stuck with it.

I can handle a few references to M counts, as long as they don't go into star trek technobabble detail about it. I'm thinking Moff Fring will lose interest in the Child pretty quickly once he discovers an adult Jedi is still out there.

Agreed. If there was ever a filler episode so far, it'd be the second episode.

Even the concept of filler is nonsensical in a series where the creative team is literally in control of the fucking budget, scripts, episode count, and length of each episode.

I liked the episode, but I do not like Gina Carano as an actress. It also doesn’t help that they held shots on her too long, and she doesn’t seem to know how to be subtle in her expressions. I don’t know, but she just makes me uncomfortable watching her.

Well, there have been calls for her removal since she is anti-mask and has been tweeting about election fraud (among other things).

Not to mention her views on trans women.

Not sure if you're serious, but no. I have no problem with tough female characters, I just don't think she's a good actress. I think she's very attractive as well, but I don't like her on screen.

She should be removed for lack of talent, but I'll take her being replaced for this stuff just the same.

I think Cris Cyborg did more damage to her than I thought.

Meh, can’t say I agree with her crazy opinions but as long as she doesn’t reach Jon Voight and James Woods levels of crazy, I can live with it.

She’s not a great actress but she’s getting better. Her acting is almost unwatchable in Haywire.

Must be the species. Yoda was 900 years old and he was stealing Luke’s little banana snack on Dagobah like a little shit.

Well, for me that changes her from "fap worthy" to "guilty fap worthy" which is even better!

Wow this episode had some bombshell reveals. A midichlorian name drop even though they hilariously shortened it to "M-Count", possible Snokes in a tank, the true use of baby Yoda as an M source, baby Yoda could be Palpatine 2.0's daddy?, macarons are cannon now in the Star Wars universe, they do have casual Friday on Imperial bases. This episode had a lot to unpack.
