This episode just goes to prove that this show about a bounty hunter traveling the galaxy and meeting people along the way while learning the secrets about his companion in a long-range journey to a destination unknown has absolutely no idea how to just stick to the plot of a bounty hunter traveling the galaxy and meeting people along the way while learning the secrets about his companion in a long-range journey to a destination unknown. Wish they'd just hurry up and have everything happen in the next episode so the show can be done and we can binge-watch the next complete series in a long weekend and forget that and consume the next one and the next and then The Office again because why not and then another mmm, must consume content. Input! More input!

‘Mandalorian’ Macarons Are an Actual Thing You Can Order Online
The now-viral moment of Baby Yoda eating macarons in ‘The Mandalorian’ has spawned an IRL batch you can gobble up for yourself
By TIM CHAN

Baby Yoda eating a macaron sounds like the start of a bad joke, but the now-viral moment of the Child enjoying the sugary French confection from the latest episode of The Mandalorian has spawned an IRL batch that you can gobble up for yourself.

Williams Sonoma is selling a 12-pack of “Nevarro Nummies” Macarons on its website right now for $49.99. The giftable tray of treats is an officially-licensed partnership with Lucasfilm, the company behind the Star Wars franchise and The Mandalorian.

“Inspired by a sweet moment when a young Nevarro student debated sharing his treats with the Child, 21st-century artisans in California have created these ethereal French-style almond macarons capturing the essence of this scene with Nevarro Nummies,” reads the product description on the Williams Sonoma site. The blue-colored, almond-based macarons feature a “rich and creamy” vanilla flavor and are shipped frozen or chilled.

The cookies in the show were more turquiose, but this is kind of funny as tie-in.

A 12-pack for $50? Those better be some pretty fucking good cookies.

Apparently they’re fairly difficult to make. So there’s that.

For $50 they better be full of midichlorians.

Since I've caught up. Not the best episode but a few reveals made up for it. It was cool to see Appa again, I thought he only had that cameo in ep. 2. Gina what's her name is terrible. Baby Yoda is a tad unruly.

P.S. In case there have been no previous mentions of Appa:

And they will ignore these developments for the next few episodes. There had not been a mention of Moff Gideon since the S1 finale, and they've totally ignored the Boba Fett tease. I'm struggling to find a point to this show... every week is some contrived roadblock to stretch out the trip to Yoda's home.

I loved it, lots of info reveals. I never had a problem with midichlorians and I’m glad to see them being brought into the fold.

Cara is a great character but the actress could be a little better.

I don't get all the hate for her. Yeah she's not the best actress but it's not like the role is really nuanced. I think she fits it perfectly. Also where is the praise for diversity in body types? How many times do you see a thick woman like that believably kicking ass on screen. I appreciate it anyways.

Oh, yeah, she's a tank and my wife and I can both appreciate that. But she doesn't feel as seamless as the other actors do. It's like it's obvious that she's acting.

In another Star Wars thread in the movie section, I said my favorite SW scenes are speeder bike scenes. And this episode delivered!

Great chase scene, cute Child reactions, and great to see Carl Weathers and Gina Carano again.

Not SW, but if you like speeder bike scenes check out he movie Priest on Netflix. But hurry it leaves this month. A quick synopsis - it's about Priests fighting vampires in a future setting.

I love Haywire but we all need to remember that she’s a former fighter turned actress. She’s serviceable at best. And she comes across as a shithead on social media.

I liked this episode. We learned more about the Empire remnants' plans for the cloning and the baby Yoda blood. We had Mando being his usual bad ass self, we had some baby Yoda cuteness scenes and a couple of easter eggs for the fans. Those are my standards for this show and I'm good with that.

Not long ago, instead of putting "she/her/hers" pronouns in her twitter bio, she put in "beep/bop/boop," (mimicking an astromech droid).

On the surface, it could be seen as a simple Star Wars joke and not a passive-aggressive statement.

But she also has a habit of showing support for things like QAnon, COVID-19 denialism, and election fraud conspiracy mongering.

And when she got called out on it, she said she was moving to Parler. (Though she still seems to be using Twitter.)

I still don't see any negative stuff she said about trans women. She didn't want to put pronouns in her Twitter bio and was harassed for it for some reason.
