You know what, I’m totally fine with schedule. Between other commitments, time in reference to work and stuff, 2 episodes was usually my limit. So what if it’s one more week? I know I’ll crank these two out fast or pace myself since whole week for finale. Most broadcast shows do that week to week.

Getting 2 offs was great and I was frankly fascinated throughout. Might watch both tonight and like most shows, wait one week. This and The Boys kept up with and this coming out a day before Boys is perfect. Even managed 9/10 eps of Teenage Bounty Hunters.

Last night was the first time I recognized Mackenzie Astin! I fucking remember him from the later season (s?) of Facts of Our Life and like 1 theatrical movie of which I have no idea what called.

But between him and Kadeem Hardison who is like triple the size he was on A Different World, it’s like a great throwback.

Not that the show needs it with its sparkling writing and super enigmatic, chemistry spewing girls who play the teen twins, Sterling and Blair. And doesn’t Genji Kohan EP? This has her incredible markings from Weeds and OitNB all over it. So incredibly well made.

I know it’s a major plot point and I remember when we saw it, but got distracted for a moment. What’s the deal again with Marcus and wife and them being “surrogate” parents to Paul?

I mean I know they killed his parents and when war between Atheists and Mithraicks made earth virtually uninhabitable (why was that? Nuclear?) and humankind was becoming extinct I guess they were Aetheist and Paul’s parents Mithraick, right so far?

I know he was a soldier, but what exactly is going on with him and what, that’s not really his face?

Did they kill Paul’s Mithraick parents to gain their passage on the Ark and had to use their faces somehow? Is that the gist?

And why were Necromancers killing the remaining humans on earth, I believe? Do they, Marcus and wife (forget her name), care about Paul at all or just want kids to be safe since they are future of humankind?

Am I in the ballpark of understanding this thing?

Yes they killed his real parents and had surgery to alter their faces to look like his parents. Yep they did it to get the passage off the planet.

The years in simulation while in hibernation they developed real feelings for Paul, especially because the woman herself stated she couldn't have kids of her own.

Necromancers were programed to only kill Atheists. Mother on the other hand was captured by an Atheist and re-programmed to be a mother on the new planet.

I think a key point here is that the technology itself for Necromancers is ancient and not even understood by the Mithraic followers. Seems like the religion found some documents on how to make them but not really knowing the full extent of what they built.

Wow! This series surprised me. Didn’t think I’d love it as much as did. I knew visual spectacle, but didn’t know about emotional. Great end to a great, unique season of streaming tv! Can’t wait for more!

What the hell happened in the last like 10 minutes? I'm absolutely shocked. All of that just completely.... WTF.

Why did the hooded cloak person look just like the aliens from Prometheus and why Mother and Father bleed milk like androids in Aliens.

i think the cloak person was the devolving of humans on that planet as they said (and both Ridley Scott, so...). why they bleed Android blood i'm not sure. maybe a dream Marcus had bc his wife, when got shot, sure looked red to me...

Yea I get that but the cloaked person looked almost identical to Engineer from Prometheus. And not Marcus and his wife dude. The androids Mother and Father bleed white milk just like the androids in Alien movies. That whole thing took me out of the show asking myself is this why Scott is attached to the project is all.

Still lot of WTF moments in the finale that's for sure.

After watching the finale, this is what I'm thinking as well.
