According to the story, it's being developed as it's own show and won't be a planted backdoor Pilot in Supergirl. If Supergirl continues on after this season, I'm sure Benoist could guest star occasionally.

Soooo, who'll be Gay on this new show? Will there be guns? Will there be women in leadership roles? I have my "INCEL TEARS" bucket ready to collect just in case...

A lot of trepidation with this announcement. I have no confidence in the CW to pull off a Superman series. Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch were fine making guest appearances on Supergirl but they certainly aren't my ideal choices.

It will be interesting to see if they recast Luthor - Cryer as a regular may very well be too expensive for the CW. He doesn't need the money.

Gold mine of potential there. Could never understand why DC didn't give this character a feature movie - it's basically DC's Guardians of the Galaxy.

As for Superman, Tyler has been fine on his few appearances on Supergirl, but I'm not sure he can carry a series on his own. This also seems to be the nail in the coffin as far as any more Henry Cavill movies are concerned - as DC generally doesn't do both (The Flash character - whose movie is now reportedly DOA - aside).

There's been a movie in development for years. There is apparently a completed script.

There's talk of a possible Blue Beetle series going to DC Universe.

Booster by himself? eh.... now give me a proper Legion of Superheroes, that would be something.

Or...Blue Beetle AND Booster Gold. But everyone is dropping DC Universe and it may die soon soooo...

Is Ted Kord back? If he is, then I would have said that (or even the bwah-ha-ha Justice League as a tv show, I'd watch).

I hope it doesn't die, or at least if it does, that they somehow keep these shows going. I'm enjoying Titans and Doom Patrol more than any other live-action DC properties happening currently.

Superman feels like a much more prestige project. Why would they put this on the CW when HBO Max is an available option? And forget Hoechlin, Routh is leaving LoT...I'd use him. Supergirl neutered this version of Superman anyway.

My eyes aren't so good any more. I read that as Superman IV series in development. I was wondering if Nuclear Man could really carry a series as the main villain.
