I STILL want to know what happened to HEATH ?!
It was said on Talking Dead that the Whisperer chapter ends with Beta and certainly the end sets up the next phase from the comics.

Robert Patrick is a nice addition. Hopefully they give him some good material to work with.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

Bump, the continuing saga of season 10 is back tonight. 6 more new episodes. These were all filmed during the pandemic with fewer cast members. These episodes run through April 4th. If anyone still has AMC+, they will premiere 4 days early.

Season 10C preview

I caught the episode early and your guess is
Spoiler:
Wrong.

Spoiler:
I thought it was going to be someone important too because of the way the episode plays out. But it's not. It's just some rando.

Just popping in to ask ... has the show turned a major corner to make it worth watching again?

I tapped out in the middle of the Whisperer saga. The last thing I remember was something about Carol and snow.

I thought the last half of Season 10B was pretty good.

But, if you couldn't make it through it through this season's arc, I say move on. Don't force yourself or feel pressured to keep up with something you no longer enjoy.

Forgot we're still on the same season.

When this season is over, the time between airing the first and last episode of S10 will be almost exactly 1.5 years.

I was just being smart-assy with my guess.

There aren't a lot of options for a known character...
Spoiler:
outside of Heath, maybe.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

Well, tonight's episode was basically bringing Maggie back into the mix. She was pretty much the focal point.

So my questions are:

Who are the Reapers?

and that guy before he blew himself up said: "Pope marked you" So who is Pope?

That was pretty cool seeing little Hershel with baseball cap like Glenn.

Next week seems to be focused on Daryl and Carol. Maybe a sign of what's ahead for their spinoff?

Oh yeah, there was a promo that said the final season airs this summer. But, I know it's being split and will extend into 2022.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

I caught myself asking why I keep watching last night. Someone in another thread mentioned that they were watching the Blacklist out of obligation I guess that is how I feel. One season and a half left I guess I can endure it. No spin-offs for me.

After such a long break I was hoping something a little more exciting would happen. Nope just Maggie charging out in front under gunfire and some random they dressed up to look cool and some other nobody trying to introduce yet another bad group of people.

Rinse and repeat again.

This explains how the show is. They just basically go from one group of baddies to another - and it appears without any overlap... as soon as they're dealt with, another group comes along immediately afterwards.

The only time that didn't seem to happen (to our knowledge) was during the 7 year jump after Rick "died" - but then again, the audience didn't get to experience that "down time" from baddies.

COVID had them rethinking these next few episodes so they are very one on one focused, individual stories.

I enjoyed it and looking forward to the Neagan one.

I watched that scene like 4 times trying to figure out what he said, till I gave up and turned on the closed captions.

The whole damn episode was nearly inaudible. And it wasn't just all the punk shows I went to in the 80s (although that doesn't help); the commercials came on blaringly loud, because I turned up the volume to nearly double my normal setting to try to hear the dialogue.

I thought the reaper dude was speaking some made up language (like the junk people maybe) even after skipping back and relistening. I had to turn on the captions too to see what he said. I thought my hearing was going bad since I had to turn up the volume to try and hear what Maggie was saying through most of the episode.

Yeah I had to turn on the subtitles on DirecTV. I could barely understand the dialogue especially the scene where Maggie and Daryl were chatting at night.

I am looking forward to the Negan centered episode. JDM’s real wife Hilarie Burton is playing Lucille.

Michael James Shaw has joined the cast as Mercer...

...good choice.

After watching both new episodes today I can unequivocally say I would much rather watch a Dog episode than another Maggie episode, and it's not even close.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

there was apparently a "big push" to not spoil the events of last night's episode, so of course i was suckered in to watching it. Normally, I'd watch it sometime later in the week. Uh, I'm still wating for the huge spoiler and I finished the episode.

Re: The Walking Dead (AMC) -- Season 10 Thread (Beware of Spoilers if you care) -- Premieres 10/6/19

That was a waste of time. This storyline only needed 15 minutes, yet they dragged it out into a whole episode.
What makes it worse is that it's mostly just backstory and does very little to move the show forward (even if this backstory is dealt with later).

Is this the first time Daryl got laid during the ZA?

Why would Daryl spend 2 years looking for Rick? If he didn't find him in the first few days or even weeks, he should be thinking he's long gone - probably swept down the river.
Did he think Rick survived and decided not to go back to the group?

So when Daryl finally gets some sexy time, they don't actually show any of it? Not even a kiss? Or did I miss something?

They brought this up on Talking Dead. The way the scene was done came down to social distancing restrictions.
