Been away and catching up on the last 3 episodes. The carnival episode was exceptional. I really love the way Levinson directs and moves the camera.
The Halloween episode was great too. Sydney Sweeny as Alabama was

Ferreira was certainly good in this series, but "breakout star"? "First leading role"? The only thing she was breaking out of was that leather number she wore to the dance...

I was pretty disappointed in the finale. I suppose it was inevitable, as they would have pretty much had to kill off Nate, for me to be satisfied. I thought that's what Fezco was going to do. At least they didn't kill him off, as I had feared. And that last scene with Rue went on waaaaay too long.

It seemed to imply that the overdoes did not happen at the beginning of the season, but actually at the end (after all we saw happen). At least that is what I got out of it. It was confusing, pretentious and overlong and didn't really fit the show but whatever. We were warned she was not a reliable narrator.

HBO announced there will be 2 special bridge episodes to fill the gap between season 1 and 2, the first airing on Dec 6th that picks up right after where season 1 ended.

I’m enjoying this, even though it’s mostly just a conversation in a diner. Rue’s rant about God and deciding who’s worthy or not worthy of protection from harm is great. It’s a perfect summary of my own feelings, but said better than I’d be capable of.

HBO has revealed the premiere date for the second “Euphoria” special episode, which Schafer co-wrote and co-executive produced in addition to leading on screen.
The episode, premiering Sunday, Jan. 24 on HBO, is called “F*ck Anyone Who’s Not A Sea Blob” and follows Jules (Schafer) over the Christmas holiday as she reflects on the year. Schafer co-wrote it with series creator Sam Levinson, who also served as director.

I can see why they waited until after the holidays for an episode that is a history of Jules’ traumas. I thought a better episode than the Rue-centric episode.
Is this the first we learn of Jules mom being a drug addict?
I read the series is supposed to go back into production in March with the hope of airing season 2 at the end of the year.
