At least they'll know it's the end going into it.
So far, Gerard Way has only put out three proper Umbrella Academy miniseries/graphic novels (Apocalypse Suite, Dallas, and Hotel Oblivion) so they're out of source material to mine, though the Netflix series tends to take a lot of liberties with the source material.

Slight bit of news about the final season. Looks like the final season will only be 6 episodes. No word if they are longer run times since the season is usually 10 episodes.

The first three seasons seemed kind of bloated, so a six episode final season isn't necessarily a bad thing. They feel like their stories probably could have been told in eight episodes, or even six.
