Yup. And the connection of the old man and the son in this past episode was a clear example of that.

I'm probably going to enjoy this season even more now given they are clearly going towards the supernatural, and have now revealed, that the group initially revealed as the villains are just as in the dark as the other characters.

Soooo, the show is picking up? I'm 2 or 3 eps behind and debating if I should watch them.

IMO, no. The characters are just as unlikable as they always have been. Only one I care for is the kid, cause I don't like seeing children suffer from cancer. The rest are all a mess.

I got caught up with the last 3 episodes. I'm not as down on the show as Noonan. Sure it has some minuses, but I'm still interested to see what's going down.

I liked the episode that showed some of the backstory of what happened to the wife, daughter and the parents following the disappearance of the plane.

The stowaway storyline didn't really go anywhere.

I do admit that Michaela isn't really that likable of a lead character and when you don't like the lead character it sort of makes it hard to root for her or feel any empathy for her.

I enjoyed the Nov 5th episode. Lots more of the supernatural mystery plot this time.

The only character I don't like is Grace. She flat out creeps me out.

I'm still enjoying this one. Probably the only episode I didn't like was the stowaway one--it felt forced and didn't lead us anywhere. I like that they don't keep as many secrets as a show like LOST did. When a secret arises, they seem to address it and get it out in the open in a few shows. Still think it may not get to run its full course, but it's a decent show.

In one of the episodes, it was mentioned that the airplane pilot was named Bill Daily. I immediately knew that that's the same name as the actor who played a pilot on both I Dream Of Jeannie and The Bob Newhart Show. Definitely not a coincidence.

I later found out that Daily (the actor) had died three weeks before the first episode aired.

I saw an ad for it and found it intriguing and loved it. Just missing this last episode released yesterday.

I say there is less then a 50% chance that Vance is dead. Those are also the same odds I give the show of being renewed. I like it but the buzz and ratings are declining.

I'm hoping that his off screen death means he's not really dead. Given how he was going about destroying career by helping them, it would make sense for him to fake his death. One of the few characters on the show I really like.

Wow, great Nov 26 episode! I disliked the previous week, so this episode pulled me back in.

I’m glad there was a lot of plot development.

I have to wonder how long before she calls Danny and picks back up with him.

That's part of what creeps me out. Just make a decision already. And the way they had her coming off in the most recent episode was even worse as it relates to the son. It's pretty damn clear something abnormal has happened, and it continues to happen, to he husband and son and she goes into some kind of denial trip.

One of the things that bothers me about this show (and plenty of other shows) is how stupid the characters are about keeping secrets. For example, when they were investigating the black ops site she could have told her cop friend about the missing bus on the official manifest and shown him her photographic evidence. No doubt in my mind he’s totally on board then, and her powers remain a secret. Instead she refuses to reveal her actual evidence and leads with “I hear voices”. Genius move!

Just watched about 20 minutes of the Jan 7th episode and damn this shit is boring.

Dumped it. This show doesn’t make any sense.

So, thoughts on 1/21 ep? Are they going to start seeing more instances of people who "skipped forward"?

I'm two episodes behind and I have little motivation to catch up... and this is with a pretty much blank slate of current programming I'm interested in. I know someone said before they have to avoid all out fantasy but it would be a lot more palatable to me if they at least had some kind of powers other than mass hallucinations or something, but then that may only be because I'm a nerd.

I'll finish out this season, but if it doesn't improve I'm done after that.

This is funny. I had three episodes on my DVR and last night I'm asking myself, "Am I ever going to watch these?" - DELETE. That's the SECOND series I've ditched this season (the other was Supergirl) for lack of interest. I wish showrunners would understand that in today's TV world, viewers don't have the patience for long, dragged out stories with no little "rewards" along the way (you need to peel back a layer of the onion every few episodes or people are going to bail on you).

My wife still watches this. The other day she mentioned that it was a good thing I dropped it; sounds like I would find the show unbearable at this point.

I just clicked on this thread to see if we should go back and pick this show up. I stopped watching after the second episode because it just did not grab me. Looks like I made the right decision. Back to Netflix and catching up on Dark Matter and Killjoys, then Amazon for the Expanse.

re: Manifest (Now on Netflix)

We are still invested but I agree there often isn't enough happening in each episode. This last one the pilot tried to duplicate the dark lightning. Something should pan out in the upcoming episode, not wait 3 episodes in before we find out details.
