I missed the third episode and forgot to record it. I was going to watch online, but like Noonan said, I don't really care about any of them so I decided to bail instead. I can always stream it if it gets better.

I had to rewind a few times after zoning on ep 4. When i did pay attention it was ok. The Angel thing was a trip. Again, I feel like Josh Dallas is playing the same basic character he played in Once Upon a Time and it's annoying.

NBC orders 3 more episodes: https://tvline.com/2018/10/18/manife...S4SLU_7d9hZePY

16 episode season total.

Ratings have been good, but probably a good idea to keep this a limited run.

If I were the writers for this series, I probably wouldn't like the 3 extra episodes. They already planned out a story for 13 episodes, and now they have to add filler for 3 more!

I have the same problem with this show. I keep getting distracted (looking at my phone or computer) and 20 minutes go by before I realize I haven't been paying attention.

Same. Losing interest rapidly. Probably would have already dropped it, but it’s the only show my wife and I both watch.

Didn’t like the Oct 22 episode. There was more filler than mystery. And that storyline from the previous week didn’t need to take up two episodes.

The disembodied whisper is kinda hokey. Next thing you know Josh Dallas is going to be turning a corn field into a baseball diamond.

This past episode makes me think they're trying to make this a character piece, with all the flashbacks. Problem is, none of the characters are likable. If that's the direction they're going, I'm out.

I watched the first two episodes. I like the concept however I feel like it will have sixteen episodes and either get cancelled on a cliffhanger or go into season two with nothing explained. Really don't need to take several years to find out what happened and why. Thirteen episodes as one story would have been fine yet we know network TV is not going to do that.

To go along with my comment from earlier today, I can't tell where they're trying to go with the show. Is it a mystery about what happened to them or is a character piece on people dealing with the situation after the fact?

I feel like the show creators started with a white board that just said "This is Us" and "Lost" and they just threw ideas out until one which touched on both, stuck.

I might be out. Srill haven’t made myself watch this week’s episode. And there’s too much good shit these days to waste time forcing myself to watch something.

Too early to bail but this past week's episode was fairly lame. When the little bastard ran away and ignored dad calling him I wanted to choke him. Yeah, they either need to decide on the sci-fi mystery, or the character driven drama, but not both.

Yeah, this particular episode was way too character-driven, yet somehow went nowhere. The stowaway turned out to be not much of anyone or anything (yet?), and the son "knows" things instead of "hears" things apparently because he happened to look out the airplane window at the right time.

They seem to have learned how to write young boys from watching The Strain.

I'm still sticking with the show, but I won't blame anyone if they bailed. I agree with all the statements in this thread.

I'm usually a pretty happy-go-lucky viewer. But I just can't get past the "
Government" in this show.

Why are they thinking that anything other than a supernatural occurrence is responsible? Why do they think that someone on the plane "did this?"

I mean if all the passengers were adults I guess it's plausible they were all "in" on something. But since the girl twin grew up and the boy stayed the same age, its pretty apparent that they were all victims of something supernatural.

Maybe the show wants to claim some "the story is all real world plausible" bullshit like Lost tried to do in their first season.

This is exactly the reason.

Many mainstream, casual viewers automatically turn a program off that introduces anything that smacks of fantasy or the supernatural. It's why they played Lost so coy in the first season.

You can bet NBC executives are writing script notes forcing that angle.

Nah, that was maybe the case years ago. But look at what's popular today not only on TV but also in movies.

No idea why. That's what always gets me to watch a show. Guess they need Police Doctor Drama number 872.

Like someone else said. Those concepts are doing better today.
