Watched the S3 finale last night. Great stuff! Really hope this gets another season, but I'm not holding my breath. After everything that happened in the S3 finale, there are a lot of different directions they could go with a season 4. Good to see Ah Toy and Nellie put an end to Strickland finally. I was wondering if we'd see Dustin Nguyen's character again, and sure enough he did show up, briefly. Great "boss fight" between Ah Sahm, Young Jun, and Hong. I'll probably give this season a binge/rewatch sometime soon--love this show!

Was binge watching this over the last few days and finished it last night.
Great season, but the whole Mai Ling storyline seemed rushed/uncharacteristic. For someone that acted so masterfully in the earlier season, it seemed odd that she would unravel so quickly.

I was late to this show but recently got into it and burned through all 3 seasons. The action in this show is really top notch. As for Mai Ling in season 3, the first two season established her as having very aggressive ambition. Some of her chess moves in those first two seasons could easily be seen as risky or careless but since they worked out, she appeared very shrewd. Season three shows that ambition finally getting the best of her. It did seem a little out of character when she was so careless to trust the "ducks" with so much money, but I think it served to highlight the cultural themes of the show and how her ambition blinded her to those cultural realities.

Canceled by Max. However, WB sold non-exclusive rights to Netflix for seasons 1-3. It may get another season if enough people watch it. I had a feeling it wasn’t going to get renewed by Max, so this wasn’t surprising.

If anything this gives it a much larger platform than Max. There are probably millions who never heard of this show.

This totally sucks, esp. with the way they ended S3. This is one of my favorite shows by far. BUMMER.

Yeah I finally finished the 3rd season in the Fall and sadly the story is incomplete. They definitely intended for it to continue. Ugh.

Hopefully Netflix will do for it what they did for Cobra Kai. Push that algorithm!

It's a such a great show. I hope it finds an even bigger audience on Netflix so that they'll order a fourth season. Bringing all the actors together again may be difficult though.

As I understand it, the Netflix rights to seasons 1-3 are non-exclusive. So those seasons are going to stay on Max also right?

I'm a fan of the show and pleased to see it's back, but how weird is it that this is the show's THIRD platform to stream on? Cinemax to HBO to Netflix

Yes it’s non exclusive and Max still keeps it on their service.

yeah the chances of Netflix greenlighting their own season are slim unless this becomes a huge hit on their service. But, this does get more eyes on it internationally. The actors, especially Andrew Koji, are going to eventually move on to other jobs.

Andrew Koji already has. He’s announced for the next season of Gangs of London and has some other upcoming projects listed on IMDB.

Unfortunately it’s not really “back,” but just available on a new service. We all hope that it will be a good match and elevate its profile, though.

I started watching this for the first time, since it dropped on Netflix a few days ago. I got bored of House of Ninjas and this popped up as a recommendation.

I like the time period setting, instead of something modern day.

The cast is making a hard push to get more eyes on it. I guess it's done well world wide. I tried getting my Mom to watch it as she loves martial arts and action shows, but she doesn't seem that invested in it. She's only watched an episode and a 1/2. But, she loves Tokyo Vice and Shogun.

I'm at Season 3, Episode 1 now. I try to watch one episode per day. LOVE this show.

I went to a Chinese New Year luncheon with relatives a couple weeks ago and they were talking about family history and the subject of tongs came up. I think my family history involves tongs back in the day

I am loving this show... it took a few eps to get into it but I am aboslutely digging it now. The fighting scenes are great. I'm on S2 Ep3 where Hong just showed up... guy might be one of the fastest humans on the planet.

One thing that amazes me is the extensive choreographed fight / riot scenes for each episode. Very impressive to learn for every single episode (as opposed to training for a few scenes in a 2 hour movie). And other TV shows with martial arts aren't elaborate with their fight scenes as this show is.

Re: Warrior (Now on Max) -- From the creator of Banshee and Justin Lin

I just finished season 3. While some of my coworkers said they didn't enjoy season 3 as much (too political), I enjoyed it. Every episode had at least one or two fight scenes.

Season 3 did suffer from the Walking Dead syndrome though - too many minor characters getting screen time, thus taking away from main character screen time. However, I imagine all the fight choreography training with the main characters limited the number of scenes they had time to be in.

Since my previous career was in the print industry, I enjoyed the counterfeit printing storyline.

Hopefully, it will get renewed by Netflix.
