Boy-howdy! Here we go...
Some spoilers/plot lines/character arcs from season two have been leaked to 4chan. I view these things with a grain of salt (sometimes they pan out, sometimes they don't), but theonering.net seems to be taking them seriously.
A few sound good, but let's just say that if you hated the changes from Tolkien's original lore in season one, you ain't seen nothin' yet.
You start out the list of spoilers, and think yeah, that sounds good -- okay -- huh? -- what the fuck? -- WHAT THE FUCK???
POTENTIAL SPOILERS IN THESE LINKS...
Spy Report: The Rings of Power Season 2 to expand on... Note: After the twenty numbered 4chan items, theonering.net has included 7 more items they have heard.
Analysis: Spy Report suggests an unhinged season 2 of The Rings of Power

Unless you know your Tolkien, those are not spoilers. Went way above my head.
Im coincidently rewatching this today. With more attention paid this time. I’m mostly engaged by it. Still doesn’t hit the highs of the LOTR trilogy.
I hope they get down to it, and don’t play this game of everything being a long drawn out mystery. I’ll call it “plot edging”. It’s frustrating and often unfulfilling. Like being horny in a strip club.

If even a little bit of that is true, it will certainly help flesh out the world. They must have realized they were too hamstrung by what they were using in season 1 and pushed for the changes.

Will this even be the same show if they do everything (or even half) of what was in that rumor list? How will they cover all that while slogging through endless side stories that go absolutely nowhere?

While I am one of those rare people who missed Tom Bombadil in Jackson's Fellowship of the Ring movie (I find him to be, like the Stone Giants in The Hobbit, a reminder that there are more mysteries and strangeness in Middle Earth than we are aware of) but it sort of confirms those awful leaks for Rings of Power that came out a while back.

I was overly harsh, but the series does have a different look than the films that I don't think is doing it any favors. We'll see how the second season fares, but I'm not optimistic given what I've seen so far. The actor is an interesting choice at least, (I recognize him from the Bond films)

While I was not a season one hater and plan to keep watching the series, that season two trailer is more exciting than all of season one put together.

Ents! (and Entwives?)
Looks great from the trailer, I'll be watching.

Trailer looks great, but I'm a bit confused how they're going to have Annatar working with Celebrimbor and other Elves when they should know that he's Sauron. (It's still Charlie Vickers, isn't it?) Unless Galadriel is going to do that stupid tv thing and withhold crucial information in order to keep the plot advancing.
